Dewey forever !! I am finishing reading Dewey's beautiful love story ... I am moved and my feelings are so deep that I can not find words to express them! Just thanks Vichi for so much love, thanks Spencer Library for existing! And to the community, to wish the best and to continue to maintain those deeply rooted values, values that make me love this noble nation of which I now belong! I am a South American immigrant, I love my roots and I love the flowers and fruits that this generous land has given me! God...

I have never been to Spencer, Iowa but someday hope to go there. I loved reading the story about Dewey Readmore books and cannot put into words except a BIG thank you to the staff who worked deligently to have Dewey become their library mascot. Remember your loving pet is in your life but you are their whole Life!! Please treat them with all the love and respect that they deserve and Dewey received from the wonderful library staff...

I stopped in here because my mom and I were both fans of the Dewey Readmore Books stories. They have a little gravesite and a statue by the front desk that honors the late celebrity library cat. The woman at the front desk even kindly offered to show me the book drop where Dewey was abandoned as a kitten one cold winter night.

It doesn't take long to stop. You can buy postcards and sign the guest book...
