I use to enjoy this library,My children as well. Especially, my 4 year old son. One evening my kids and I went to the library . We came in ,I stopped at the front counter to retrieve a password from Clara and then proceeded forward with my son and 3 month old daughter. We got settled # ALMOST . When my son said," he could not hear on the iPad" . I got up and did my best to fix it so, that he could enjoy it before leaving the library. I noticed that one of the iPad's was missing .maybe, due to being fixed but we continued forward. When it was all said and done ,I was able to get the wire connection to connect so that he could enjoy one of the apps on the iPad. After, about a couple of minutes of sitting there and enjoying the story time ( my son) . I saw this child about 10 years of age lurking around him. I continued to do what I came to do since we had just gotten there. When I was approached by a mom who was in connection to the child who was lurking around my son. She asked me if, I could remove my son 4 years off the computer so that her son could play on it for 10 minutes. I replied not as of yet! Since,we had just arrived here and settled but once he is done I will be more than happy to let your son enjoy the iPad. The mom went on to tell me I had a twenty min limit , which was a lie ... It's a first come ,first serve basis . I than said ,well it hasn't been twenty minutes. Since, I wasn't moving at her pace . She went to the front of the library and yelled obnoxiously to Clara for abt 10 minutes .I sat back and observed for a moment .I saw Clara looking back and forth at me As the mom pointed and I grabbed my daughter and proceeded to the front counter. I spoke to Clara directly telling her my disposition and what took place she than # ABRUPTLY cut me off . Telling me that it isn't her job to # BABYSIT .I then replied with and I don't think that was in question . I then walked off bc at this point I had all I could take but before I could. Clara stated that both boys were to be banned off the computer. I did not understand that at all when my son was there first . It wasn't a kid in sight when we arrived that even looked interested in playing on that iPad that halfway functioned . Mind you during all of this my son is still enjoying the iPad with headphones (learning different animals APP) I went back to my sitting area placed my daughter in her car seat and sat down. As soon as I did that Clara came in my area and said, Do I need to call the cops on you? Taken back, I said, Excuse me! She said, Do I need to call the cops on you? Mind you there is two other families close by . I was publicly humiliated, mortified and appalled . I said , if that's what you feel you need to do but no crime has been made. I then pulled her to the side and spoke with her briefly about her attitude and the treatment of the guess in the library . I made mention of how she went about handling this situation which was wrong on all levels .Once, the conversation was completed .Clara, felt she needed to have the last word ,telling me to GET HIM ( my child ) OFF THE COMPUTER NOW. before, leaving I asked for the next level of management number so I could contact them she misrepresented herself saying she was the manager. I then continued in conversation befor she relinquished the number I had asked for the first time. I have never in my life been more disrespected and felt more unappreciated. Clara, needs to learn interpersonal skills and how to handle conflict with common sense .she was very rude, discriminatory, condescending, unfriendly and over all no help to the situation .she took a biased approach to this situation. Thinking , that she was making me suffer . Who suffered was the children . My son was very disappointed and he did nothing but show up to a library filled with books for kids and activities. Only to get banned bc he arrived at the iPad first. I have not been back to this library and honestly don't think I will ever go back . We will get books from a library where we are appreciated and valued. -very...

Read moreConsidering the other libraries I've been to, this one is on the top as far as size. Two floors with an elevator. Plenty of suggestive displays. There's always more than enough computers. I like their app Libby because I enjoy reading series. And they are sometimes books in the series I want at other libraries but I can use the app to have them sent to my library and it does not usually take long to arrive. A couple days, and they call you when they're there. Picking up is easy you just go to a wall that has alphabetized boxes and find the one with your name with your books. They have up to 6 week checkout period, that's what they say, but really if you keep it longer many times they will automatically recheck it for you with no work on your part. And I was surprised but also was and (still am) confused about overdue fees. The other libraries charge you 5 or 10 cents a day. But I have had a few overdue books and they did not charge me anything. The librarians are all nice and...
