This medium size park is located on the south end of Springdale and is a charming place under the constant watch from the mountains of Zion National Park. The park is open 24 hours daily, but there is only a minimum number of parking spaces, especially for the size of the park. There are numerous picnic tables with charcoal grills at most of the tables and numerous trash disposal containers. There are restrooms at the park, but they were locked at the time of our visit. The park is definitely “dog friendly” but they must always be on a leash. When we were there, we saw plenty of dogs and not one of them was on a leash, just saying, I guess the rules do not apply to them. However, dogs may be off leash on the other side of the bridge, which is the “Marj Bonner Nature Trail & Dog Park.” On the east side of the park, the Virgin River flows and there is a small bridge crossing the river. The is a beautiful park, which was never busy the two times we went there, yet it is a peaceful and enjoyable place to visit, away from the hustle and bustle of Zion...

I wish there was an actual playground here, this park is more for like picnics, and a stop for the Tubers. I've come to this park on many occasions because I to am a water Tuber explorer. My girls go with us and they are age 4. & 6. And on many stops here they ask why there isn't a playground. Even just a slide would help us stay longer and enjoy our food after a 2 hour float down the river. But overall the bathrooms are cleaned regularly, and the grass is cut often....

A charming spot with incredible views!!! We visited Springdale in the first day of off-season at Zion, and decided to wander the town a bit. Very glad we took the time to poke around, or we'd have missed the opportunity to skip rocks in this river, or catch a breather at one of the benches that overlook said river. Nature is so lovely, and this park is a fantastic...
