Pros: business department and Sunday lunch. Taught me to be a good atheist. Beautiful campus.
Cons: litterly everything else.
Even with a small class size the faculty are very difficult to get help from.
Common areas are shut down frequently, once it was shut down in the coed dorms to women. This meant that only men were allowed in the common areas.
Counseling department does not keep confidential information. I admitted I was struggling with the belief in god, and next thing I knew my RA, RD, Head of behavior, and staff were asking me about it.
Very expensive. I spent 70,000 in less than two years. The education doesn't make up for that. I've received a better education at Missouri State University for a fraction of the cost.
Too many rules to count. On my first day I was given a book of rules. Everything from no dancing to not misusing water.
Racism and homophobia galore. Many times the black students were assumed to be a sports player. I saw this from students, staff, and faculty. Of course sports players get...
Read moreIf you are a preacher's kid, or if you come from a well-established church... way to go... they treat you like royalty. However, God-forbid, you come to know Christ and traveled through a rough patch in life; this school has an unforgiving attitude towards those that come from an entitled background. Very sad... they seem to forget that Christ forgives and we all fall short; I am sure many have skeletons in the closet. I have been a Christian from my youth and I have interacted with entitled preacher's kids that are total brats and are worst than the average people out there that don't know Christ. I think we need to start reflecting back to the forgiving Christ, the Jesus from the bible who sat with the sinners and the scorned - the rejects from society, because we need to realize that Christ came for the broken, the rejected and the suffering. So sad... I have never met more...
Read moreHad to leave the school due to it costing too much for me financially, and the process of moving to a different school has been hell on earth. You'd think a Christian school would have morals other schools have as well, but I guess they don't. The food was disgusting, the dorms were equally gross and overall go somewhere else if your looking for an education. The teachers are kind and understanding, but everything else I experienced was bad. I'll never come back to this school and I will continue to tell everyone I know about the horrible experiences I dealt with for the sake of an education
Edit: they messed up my transcript order and made it so I have to wait another month to even begin my process to go to a different college. Do not ever go here, they will screw you over a thousand fold if you even dare to leave...
