This is NOT a swimming location. This is a sewer management water feature that has pools to trap sediment and aerate the water to kill bacteria. There are strong undercurrents, potentially harmful bacteria, and harsh rocks. DO NOT SWIM HERE.
Now that we have cleared that up, this is a unique water feature and quite the sight to behold, albeit somewhat underwhelming unless you enjoy nature. There is a bench to sit at to watch the water and wildlife, as well as a shaded picnic area with lots of grass and space for kids/pets/etc., it is ADA accessible, and overall enjoyable to visit.There is a port-a-potty, a nice parking area, some information about the place, and lots of shaded area to have a nice outing by the water and railroad tracks. This place doesn't smell bad, unless you are visiting right after a strong storm. The grounds need some maintenance due to the lack of landscaping upkeep, but the shaded picnic area...
