if I could give this place zero stars I would, The workers are so so rude. I really really enjoyed coming here until about 5 minutes ago. i was looking at video games in the showcase, while also looking them up on my phone to make sure i like what im looking at and this man looks over the counter at me while im squatted down and says you know “we stop showing stuff out of the showcase at 5:30 right?” he was very annoyed and i said “oh im sorry i didn’t realize”, and he scoffed in my face and said “maybe if you would’ve have been paying attention to your phone you would’ve heard us tell you that” and rolled his eyes. he embarrassed me infront of a bunch of customer, after having the worst week ever that was my breaking point. i had no words and left with tears in my eyes. i just wanted to find something to enjoy my night since my week was so rough. i ended up calling and talking to the lady, explaining im not angry but i was really upset and left crying and that i had never been treated that way before. she said she completely understood and he would like to talk to me if i would let him, she passed the phone and he said “so yeah.. i was just explaining when we stop showing off the show case and that you probably didn’t hear us because you were on your phone” and i said no that’s not how you talked to me at all, and he said yes he did and that’s how adults speak to eachother, followed it up with something along the lines, that i should obey. then he hung up on me. after reading some of these reviews about the same experience, i won’t be going back. i’ve never ever been treated this way. im not one to complain, or write reviews. this is the first review i’ve ever written. i will not be going back ever, and i hope...
Read moreOvercharged and essentially told I was a liar when I went back to fix it after I had called the next day to ask why I was charged for over double the amount or items I had purchased. I Purchased 5 items from 3 boothes and was charged for 10! The girl I spoke to on the phone told me to bring back my receipt she could not help me over the phone. I explained to her I was in a different city and couldn't get back right away. Said she still couldn't help me. The 1st day off I had I went back up there to show them, explained multiple times the 5 items I bought and the girl proceeded to tell me she remembered checking me out and started listing things I did not purchase! I was absolutely blown away. Told me there was nothing she could do or anyone the company could do I had to eat it. Its sad bc this place was so much fun to be at and there is absolutely no way I would go back if they are going to scam ppl. I have this deep feeling she took advantage of the fact I was talking to her and other ppl about my dog that was with me and added items to my bill while I was distracted. She even circled items on my ticket when i went back and said she couldn't figure out what one or 2 of the...
Read moreI absolutely love STD flea market, it's probably my favorite place in town next to Relics. I guess the biggest thing I truly enjoy about STD, is the fact that it's not pretentious or unsettlingly expensive. If you're into interior design, collecting, treasure hunting, or just like to antique, this place is right up your alley. I never go home empty-handed, and as picky as I am that's really saying something. One thing I have noticed, and it's not really a big deal to me personally, is that the staff is always busy with their heads down and they're not really that friendly... also it seems like they rotate through staff quite fast that I have never gotten to know anybody that works there(except maybe the main guy, who I think is either the manager or maybe even the owner) but I digress... this place is absolutely a treasure-trove of awesome vintage things. I probably visit at least twice, sometimes even three times a week! It really is an outing, so bring a starbucks and wear comfortable shoes, you're going to be here a couple hours minimum!!! Enjoy! P.s. the bathrooms are clean and nice, always a plus in these...
