Yesterday, my wife and I went to buy #377 chip batteries for our wristwatches. The guy installed the batteries. We were shocked to see him charge us more than $21. We showed him the $2.99 price marked where the batteries were kept. We had been to that store and replaced batteries several times in the past, so we questioned him: Were we being charged for installation? Yes, he said. We said we have replaced cells many times right here, with zero installation charges. We said we would never return to this store again. He suddenly realized that these non-White customers were smarter than he thought. So he canceled the charge and re-wrote $6.44. The bill number is P41485893. The date was 7/8/2021, time: 4:50:18 PM. The associate's number (on the same line) is 036-01 (zhutchins). The chip number is 61800Z. We're keeping our receipt in case you wish to have a copy. We've been wondering for years why this store does not seem to hire people of color. We suspect we might be treated more respectfully by associates who come from different racial groups. I'm a retired professor at the local university and my wife a retired RN at the local hospital. We feel outraged when stores engage in price gouging with people of color. Next time we will complain to BBB and also the Attorney...
Read moreI came in and was quoted 129.99 to fix my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 cracked screen. I was also quoted 149.99 to fix my I phone XR cracked screen. It took over an hour to fix them. When I came to pick them up I was told that the I phone was quoted correctly but the Samsung was not. They told me I now owe 339.99 for the Samsung. I was completely shocked and very upset. They did offer me 279.99 for it but that still was extremely over the quote. They also said they could take my new screen off and put my old one on, which could take another 20 to 30 minutes. I did not have time for this, so I paid the bill. I told them I would be contacting anybody I could to let them know the way I was treated. This was the 3rd phone I brought there but never again. I think this is extremely bad customer service and I will tell everyone I know not to use any of your services. I seen the paper that I was quoted from and it did say 129.99 and it is not my fault you printed incorrect prices for your reps. I worked with Zach H and Hunter 06/12/2021 5:16:09 and I know they will remember this whole situation. I have my receipt and will be happy to show anyone...
Read moreI love doing business with organizations that demonstrate high integrity. I had trouble getting my wife's car to start during the last cold spell. After toying with it and charging it a couple of times it finally started. I wasted no time in going over to Batteries Plus in St. Cloud and upon arriving I informed the attendant that I needed a new battery. Fortunately he did not take me at my word and suggested we go test things first to make sure. That seemed sensible to me and so we proceeded outside to test the battery and charging system. As it turns out the battery was just fine, just a little run down. I was told to drive around for a half hour and he guaranteed my car would start in the morning. He was correct. They could have sold me a new battery and I would not have known the difference. Instead they did the right thing and sold me nothing. Batteries Plus may have lost an immediate sale but they have gained a lifelong customer. Integrity only counts if you can walk the talk. Batteries Plus walks the talk. Thank you for being a business I can proudly recommend...
