True’s Pizza — Restaurant in St. Cloud

Customer service was horrible! From the moment the phone was answered, it sounded like I was bothering the person that answered. I asked to substitute basil pesto sauce for the red sauce. I was told they don't offer that sauce. I was reading it off the online menu, so I was confused. I said I wanted the sauce on the veggie pizza and was told it was red sauce... again I'm looking at the menu and it says basil pesto. Very rudely I was told it's kale pesto, not basil pesto. OK then fix it on your website! I got to the store a few mins early, paid and stepped to the side. The person cutting/boxing pizzas took her hat off, scratched her hair, put her hat back on and continued to do her job. Never washing her hands, not wearing gloves 🤢 I thought my order seems more than it should, so I looked at my receipt and both of my pizzas cost more than the website shows by $4. I've had good experiences here in the past but this visit...

Very inexpensive and a lot of food for the money. Pizza is hit or miss. Sometimes it is great, other times not so great. Either way you cannot beat the price. Their breadsticks are our favorite and the cinnamon sticks are great too.

Wish they would have their own delivery service. Food Dudes and Doordash have done me dirty too many times. The last time I ordered Trues through Door Dash I never got the order, and it was a big one. I don’t want to take a chance of paying the fees those companies have and getting my food late or not at all. Also, when you order True’s through DoorDash or Food Dude’s you cannot truly customize you pizza. You have to either choose a one topping or a specialty pizza, no in between.

All in all this place is my family’s go to. Definitely...

This was my first visit to $5 Pizza. The pizza itself was one of the best I've ever had! Wish they offered a Military discount. I appreciate, will purposely frequent, and recommend shops that do offer a Military discount. I waited in store for my order because I was purchasing as a walk in, and was told in 15-20 minutes it would be ready. It was closer to 35 minutes for my order. Also, I had thought I ordered two pizzas (I didn't pay attention to the amount of charge when I signed my credit card slip at the time of ordering). I didn't want to reorder (and wait for) the second pizza I had initially wanted, so I left with just the one, Chicken Bacon Ranch. I will definitely be back another day...and now I know to call in my order ahead of time to...
