Very nice museum. Great displays and quite educational. With ONE major exception!! There is absolutely zero displays & information on Native American cultures. Natives lived in this area for many centuries. Not one item.
I asked the desk lady about this obvious historical deletion....she just looked at me, said nothing. Embarrassed? I've been to other nearby county museums (Kandyohoy, etc) and they display fantastic Native history. It's a rich and deeply beautiful history we need to include about Stearns Co. Read more7/3/2025: I didn't really visit, but I am aware of what they do and fully support the idea that we should remember the history, not just of our own county, but our country. Many of our ancestors have toiled and sweated, and bled so we have been free of tyranny. May we learn of and remember their sacrifice and emulate their dedication to freedom.
