Stopped here on our way back from up north. We were seated within an acceptable amount of time. Our server didn't make an appearance for quite some time. No big deal as it was busy. Later when she brought our cheddar biscuits we discovered that they had been smashed and flattened in the basket. Our daughter insisted on eatimg them as they are her favorite and we hadn't earen for 7 hours prior. When we received our entrées my order was lukewarm. Mind you I always order the same thing at Red Lobster so I am very familiar with the dish. I also noticed that my mussels had not opened and the crab meat did not appear to be cooked properly. I brought this tonthenattention of our server and she did not offer to get new mussels or exchange my dish, but tried to explain to me the these were special mussels that sometimes did not open. She brought me a crab let tool to crack the mussels open. I asked for a manager and no one came. I asked our server again and she stated that she asked the manager to come see me, but they had not. Later the customer care specialist came attempted tonarguenwith about the closed mussels and tolde that if Inwould like to est them that I should crack them open myself. At this point I was getting upset. The store manager came over and again they were trying educate me on a dish that I have ordered over 30 times and am very familiar with. None of the 3 employees offered to heat my order up, get new mussels or exchange my order. I could not believe the level of customer service that was being applied to me. The worst thing was that no one apologized and they were trying tell me I don't knownanything about fish or seafood. They gave us a $25.00 gift card, but that amount doesn't even cover the cost of the dish that I always order at Red Lobster. I would not recommend this Red Lobster location at all. Terrible service, terrible food and...
Read moreSt. Cloud, MN Red Lobster. 5/30/21 @ about 6 pm. Was so excited to eat at one of our fav restaurants post Covid restriction drops only to be totally disappointed. Started off with being seated in the middle of the room at a small table while empty booths & tables were open everywhere around us & no one waiting to be seated, asked to be allowed to sit in a booth & that didn't go vey well. Our waitress barely greeted us or I should say didn't greet us, as she just handed us this little scaled back paper menu with no explanation, she was obviously in a really bad mood, & didn't even try to hide it. There was no salt & pepper on the table even though restrictions are all off, had to ask for that & you could tell that bothered her. No salad choices only could have Cesar, no other salad dressings available & didn't explain why as again restrictions are over. The food was barely okay, took quite awhile to get it after the salad so just lukewarm at best, I remember the day when they'd have to warn you the plate was hot when serving to you. The windows were totally dirty, dust on the wood ledge about a half inch thick. Just dark & dreary clearly needing some cleaning & even some updating would even be better. Not sure why after being closed for a year with inside dining they couldn't done a thorough cleaning & maybe even put some fresh paint on the walls, they had plenty of time to do so. Our server never did not get any better, although there was another server in the same room who seemed very friendly & on the ball, but definitely not ours. We did still tip her 20% just because we know people are hurting in the industry right now, but she clearly didn't deserve it. Just a really depressing evening... C'mon Red Lobster you need to step up your game or I'm afraid you'll be gone, & really would hate...
Read moreWe went to Red Lobster in St. Cloud to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday as we often go there for special occasions.
We were beyond disappointed in the service and food.
The restaurant was out of baked potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, lemon wedges, crab leg specials, and the new crispy shrimp.
This was at 5:30 on Monday 8/12/2024.
Now what I know that you might not, is there is a Lunds/Byerly's grocery store 3 blocks away. Why would you not send some to pick up potatoes, lemons, and butter? Nobody cared.....
Instead of butter, they served oil (see picture). When we asked two different servers about the butter, they said that was all there was.
We requested lemon for our water and we were told they were out of lemons. No lemons for water or the seafood.
My daughter order mashed potatoes with her $49.00 Ultimate Feast dinner as they were out of baked potatoes. The potatoes were literally a blob of runny potatoes.
Each person in the birthday dinner ordered the $49.00 Ultimate Feast. No one enjoyed their meal because there was no butter, no lemon, and no baked potatoes.
The wait person, who was the manager on the shift, stopped by and asked how our meals were. One member of our party respectfully said the food was not good. The wait person (manager) literally did a small laugh and walked away from our table with no further contact. At $50.00 / plate, we did not expect or deserve that response. Our final bill far exceeded $200 for four people.
Everyone in the party was speechless. None of us has ever had such an experience from a waitress.
As I stated earlier, Red Lobster is one of our favorite places to dine. Typically, the food is wonderful as well as the staff.
It will take a while of the memory of this ruined special dinner to fade before we go there...
