St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center — Attraction in St. Cloud

After our original venue canceled just a few months before our wedding, we were scrambling to find a local, budget-friendly space that could accommodate our date and needs. We are so grateful to have been recommended the St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center for our October 2024 reception. The Herberger Suite was absolutely perfect—conveniently located downtown, with a beautiful view of the river, and just the right size for our celebration. The space was versatile and perfect for our alternative wedding, where we provided our own music (including a special a cappella performance), set out board games and activities for guests, and invited everyone to join in a photo scavenger hunt. Communication with the staff was clear and helpful, and the flexible contract options made it easy to adjust our plans on a short timeline. The River's Edge is an excellent location in downtown St. Cloud, right on the riverfront and within walking distance of nightlife, restaurant and shopping options. Hotels like the attached Best Western Plus Kelly Inn and Courtyard by Marriott help offer significant advantages for event attendees.

The River's Edge boasts a large amount of event space (over 180,000 sq ft) with numerous meeting rooms and a large ballroom, capable of hosting a wide range of events from conventions and trade shows to weddings and banquets. The waiting area to get into the concert was a ridiculous loop of people. Many were unsure of where the line ended. Once we got into the concert area, the seating was open. The row seats felt insecure as they wobbled whenever someone sat. Even if it was at the other end. Very disorganized and the stage was smaller than expected. The band itself was wonderful though. The next time I go to a concert, I won't drive 3 1/2 hours to St Cloud, MN. I will find another concert location for that band to attend even if...
