This was my first time here, and I was really craving some sort of fried chicken. The server indicated the Nashville hot chicken tacos might be a good option so I choose them and added a side of beer-battered fries seasoned with parmesan. I don't usually drink but I noticed they had Blake's hard cider (draft,) which comes from an orchard I grew up going to in Michigan, so I also ordered a glass of that.
The tacos and fries were really, really good. Perfectly fried, and the flavors worked well together especially with my inevitable cup of ranch dressing. The chicken wasn't hot/spicy at all, but honestly I've come to expect this in Minnesota. It was still delicious, but not something a heat-seeker might want. I do think I may have wanted a bigger portion but the prices here are really good especially with current inflation on foods. As for the Blake's cider, if you like alcohol/ciders I think you'll be happy with this. I finished it, but just can't get past that flavor alcohol has and that's exclusively a personal issue. It's a bit dry, Blake's does have some sweeter options I've had at their orchard. Anyway, I definitely plan to return. I'd love to have a chance to try the poutine burger I've seen in reviews but it didn't seem to be on the menu so this review serves as an official request to Bring Back the Burger™ also might have an interest in their list of sake...
Read moreThis past Saturday, our baseball team stopped in at 7 West Taphouse, and we were genuinely blown away by the experience. Traveling with a big group of kids isn’t always easy, but from the moment we walked in, we felt taken care of.
Our server was absolutely incredible. She was kind, patient, and so thoughtful — constantly checking in to make sure drinks were full and everyone had what they needed. She even helped us organize our orders by the boys’ jersey numbers, which made things so much easier for our team. It may seem like a small gesture, but it made a big difference.
The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect for our group. It’s not often you find a place that’s both fun and family-friendly, but 7 West nailed it.
We’re so thankful for the warm hospitality and great service. It turned what could’ve been just a quick team meal into a special memory. We’ll definitely be back the next time...
Read moreStopped into 7 West before an SCSU hockey game. Very comfortable place with a vast beer selection. The service was excellent the waitress was able to answer several questions about different beers and was attentive throughout the meal. Our table ordered what we thought were nachos but turned out to be nacho themed tacos. Was a great mistake as the tacos were excellent. The burger I ordered was excellent as was the modest price of $5. The only reason this review is 4 stars is because of the french fries. And oh what sad fries they were. They arrived covered in grease and limp as they come. We ordered the fries without seasoning which may have soaked up some of the grease but no excuse for limp sad looking fries that begged to return to the fryer. That being said fries are an easy fix and this place has a ton of potential. Will return and hope that the fry situation...
