Nestled in the heart of downtown, Mexican Village is a hidden gem that promises an unparalleled Mexican dining experience. From the moment you step through the door, you're transported to a vibrant, warm, and inviting atmosphere that exudes the essence of Mexico. The colorful décor, adorned with traditional art and artifacts, sets the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey.

The menu at Mexican Village is a masterpiece, offering a rich tapestry of authentic Mexican flavors. Each dish is crafted with passion and precision, using fresh, high-quality ingredients that highlight the depth and diversity of Mexican cuisine. The guacamole, prepared tableside, is a must-try – a perfect blend of ripe avocados, zesty lime, and a hint of spice, setting the tone for a remarkable meal.

For the main course, the options are both abundant and enticing. The mole poblano is a standout, featuring tender chicken smothered in a rich, complex sauce with layers of chocolate, chili, and spices that dance on your palate. The tacos al pastor are equally impressive, with succulent, marinated pork that melts in your mouth, complemented by tangy pineapple and fresh cilantro. Each bite is a testament to the skill and dedication of the chefs.

Vegetarians and seafood lovers will also find plenty to rave about. The chile relleno, a roasted poblano pepper stuffed with cheese and served with a robust tomato sauce, is a flavorful and satisfying choice. The ceviche, bursting with fresh citrus and perfectly marinated seafood, offers a refreshing contrast that showcases the versatility of Mexican cuisine.

The drink menu is as thoughtfully curated as the food. The margaritas are nothing short of legendary – expertly balanced, with just the right amount of tequila and fresh lime juice. The extensive selection of tequilas and mezcals invites exploration, with knowledgeable staff ready to guide you through a tasting journey that highlights the unique characteristics of each spirit.

Service at Mexican Village is impeccable. The staff is attentive, friendly, and passionate about ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. Their genuine hospitality, combined with an evident love for their culinary heritage, creates an atmosphere that is both welcoming and exhilarating.

In conclusion, Mexican Village is more than just a restaurant; it is an experience that celebrates the rich traditions and vibrant flavors of Mexico. Whether you're a seasoned aficionado of Mexican cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore, Mexican Village promises a dining experience that will leave you enchanted and eagerly planning your next visit. Five stars,...

Went in with my husband an mother in law today, we ordered the taco salad, tacos and a burger. We got caso dio which I don't recommend because it's not made fresh it's made the night before an heated up the morning of service it was very very thick with a gross film over it also it tasted like mold. The taco salad was clearly old it was very cold through an through my husnand asked to have it warmed up and it only got heated up a little bit because it was still cold, he didnt eat it because it tasted like old meat and the tomatoes an lettace was brown. The tacos were overly salty, bad taist and cold she said she "wouldn't even feed it to My dog". My burger way over cooked and dry and the lettuce wasn't close to par only one small dark green piece that didn't cover my burger I was very disappointed. The waitress was really catty and rude. I requested management and she never came. We complained numerous times and didn't get satisfied at all. I told staff we were not paying for my husband's taco salad and my mother in-laws tacos so we paid 21.89$ for my burger and three sodas. Outrageously horrible. I'd stay away. This is coming from a really un picky family. We were not treated right away and the place was empty odvoiously for good reason. Also the lady next to us refused to eat her meal as well I heard her say "ishh this is so discusting" I noticed she paid 15$ for 2 tamolies and a coke. She was told she had to pay even though she only took 2 bites She was on the phone saying she'll never come back again. Another small family just left they're food after tasting it, that whole family was disgusted as well they said as they walked out. If we could give it less than one star we'd give this place - 12. We've eaten here before and were very disgusted but thought we'd give it another try but...

Honestly would not say this is Mexican food at all. Everything was so bland and tasteless. Personally I would not recommend this place to anybody. The only good thing I have to say is our waitress was great.

I can also say the rice was the worst I've ever tasted in my life. Not only was it bland but it was so tough to eat. My daughter and I could only have two scoops of it before we had to quit. I ordered the tacos in the shell was so gross. I actually had to quit eating it. My daughter ordered the carne asada and the only thing she could eat was the steak. Our son ordered a kids burger which he said was not bad but he wasn't a fan of the fries at all. My best friend got an enchilada, tamale, taco plate and he could not eat the taco like me. He also thought the rice was so bland and he was shocked to think that it was an actual tamale.

Our server was great. We had no problem with her whatsoever. More than helpful and kind and honestly was the only great thing about the whole experience. The only reason why we came to this restaurant is because it was so close to the venue we were at. Personally, I would not recommend this place to anybody nor would I ever go back to eat there. The price was ridiculous for the amount of food and the taste of the food ($79.40 total without tip).

The atmosphere was not bad at all. Definitely tell that they went with the Mexican theme. Plenty of seating when we went. Did not have to wait long to be seated. The only place I did not see was the bathroom. The last thing that I would like to say that was good about the place Is it was handicap accessible. We did not have any problems getting the wheelchair around and we got seating at a table almost immediately even with having...

Fun, festive restaurant that serves a variety of Mexican entrees, beverages and desserts. Fair prices. Friendly service. Would recommend. Restaurant is decorated like a Mexican village with a fountain inside, cozy nook seating and fun details like a donkey statue. Was greeted when I entered, and felt welcomed. Also enjoyed the regional music playing. Complimentary chips and red salsa (mild) are brought to the table. Chips are served warm. Salsa is fresh with rustic notes. Ordered a Mango Daiquiri, it was served chilled with a sweet taste that satisfied my thirst. The Super Nachos fill the plate and easily serve 2 people. Overflowing layers of meat, beans, cheese, guac, black olives and chips. Appreciate that real cheddar cheese is used. Fried Ice Cream is my favorite! The vanilla ice cream is topped with a crunchy sweet layer and cinnamon whipped cream. Great place for casual dining, special celebrations, date night and a night out. Family friendly.

Love this place. The food is always AMAZING. It's not on the menu, but it's what I've always ordered, the four Enchiladas Platter. 2 ground beef, 2 cheese, it had this amazing green gravy that they use for the enchilada sauce, it's the best! It's what makes the enchiladas so incredibly delicious and I have never found anywhere else that has that sauce and it truly makes their enchiladas #1 by a landslide and everyone in my family would agree! They're also very friendly and if you have room, they're fried ice cream is also unbelievably delicious! Best I've ever had! Love This Place. It's been around as long as I have! Over 40 Years!

Walking into this place was very amusing with all the interior, very beautiful and colorful. Costumer service was very attentive, respectful and nice. Very glad to have service like that with a group! The reason I gave this place three stars was where it came down to it, it was the food. To begin with the food wasn't really close to Mexican food. Beans tasted like dried up beans from a can. Rice even if warmed up was still cold in the middle. Meat was sadly very chewy. The place or the costumer service can be outstanding but in the end it all come down to the plate.
