I would NOT recommend this Skating rink, under no means. If this was the last option for a birthday party I would rather cancel the party. The current management team is a pretty cool guy named Joe and a younger African American girl. Joe was very transparent and respectful. I refuse to say the same for the other manager and the owner. I reserved this hall for a 12year old birthday party in which we choose the Bronze birthday package. This birthday package comes with 10 wrist bands to make a person eligible to skate. This package also came with 2 boxes of pizza, that were terrible. The staff ended up sending our table 5 boxes of pizza and we informed management we would not pay for the additional 3 boxes of pizza, as our bronze package only came with 2 boxes of pizza. The younger female manager then proceeded to charger our card for a package that was double the amount of the bronze package. Upon learning this out the manager was very, rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional. She made verbal threats and was not transparent at all towards the situation. After the verbal threats were made the manager decided to call the park ranger, the police and then the owner. The owner was also very rude, he automatically came in and went to the defense of the female manager. He was not open to hear what happened and what the issue of wrong and right was. He kept telling us he didn’t care about us being double charged and we needed to leave the premise. The owner is very close minded and does not need to be in charge of a social gathering event hall where differences between employees and guest will happen. The owner didn’t even attempt to escalate or ask our side of the story. On top of the bathrooms being very dirty and out of supplies. The pizza that was offered was terrible, it by no means should meet any standard for being served to humans. Some staff was very helpful and respectful towards guest, but how can a business run efficiently if the owner and manager can’t be transparent and open minded towards issues. If you choose to visit this establishment, hopefully you don’t encounter the rude, ignorant young African American female manager. Everybody has things they are dealing with in life, but your outside world shouldn’t impact your business/customer relations. The owner also refused to return the amount that was charged unauthorized even after 2 employees clearly told police officers they only gave us the 10wrist band bronze package. We also asked the owner to review the cameras. The cameras will clearly show less than 10people in our area with skates on. In stead of going back and forth we asked the owner to review the surveillance footage and he refused. On top of being charged for the service this place offered, we were threatened arrest if we didn’t leave. This was a very bad look for the business and very traumatizing for our kids. Please listen to a paying customer and don’t book parties here. I would recommend a more professionally ran place somewhere in St Charles or St Peter’s. Dealing with business establishments in St Louis City and St Louis County, you will run into ghetto, unprofessional, threatening staff members.

Have to agree with someone below, the location is cool. Set up is pretty at night, they smooth out the ice a lot and the prices are decent. With that being said, the staff clearly arent happy at their jobs. Very rude/disrespectful attitudes. The guy who took our money was so rude when telling us what to do with the tickets and where to go. Asked him to repeat himself cause he didnt even look at us while he was telling us, and it was quite loud. Guy borderline yelled at us at that point very aggressive because we asked him to repeat himeself. The guys calling people up to the front to get skates were okay, but clearly annoyed with anyone who didnt have their shoes off and ready to hand them when you gave shoe size...as if there were signs there to indicate that that was expected...the "refs" on the rink were more worried about skating and showing off than stopping anyone from skating like jerks. My son (and many others) was dropped more than once by very aggresive skaters who were never told to cool it once. The icing on the cake was dropping the skates off and getting your shoes back. Outside of two pleasant people every single other person was just yelling out and being super rude. Never making eye contact. Being so dismissive toward everyone walking up just taking skates and throwing shoes out. It was actual madness. Shoes being handed to the wrong people. I can see where it would be hectic and workers would want to be moving fast, but this establishment deeply lacks any form of customer service. Super unfortunate since its such a nice place. More unfortunate that this was our first family outing since my husbands return from deployment and our sons birthday...very...

Very disrespectful staff!

I've always loved spending time at the Steinberg Skating Rink. Unfortunately, on Christmas day, my family and I visited the skating ring and were met with two extremely disrespectful employees. We forget to grab cash on our way down and attempted to get money from one of their ATM machines. Something went wrong with our transaction, our card was charged but the ATM gave as an error message and not money (I checked my bank account as soon as the error appeared). We informed the gentlemen renting skates and he shouted at us to call the number on the ATM. We tried calling the number but could not get through to anyone. At this point the employee was screaming at us with a line of people starring at us, stating that there is nothing wrong with the ATM. I was attempting to tell them that my card was charged but we did not receive money from the ATM and to suggest that they place an out of order sign. Another employee got agitated, ran up to the ATM, pushed himself between my husband and me and decided to try the ATM. It worked for him, but our issue was still unresolved. As I was telling him about my card being charged he rolled his eyes and walked away, completely dismissing us. We were screamed at and treated poorly by the staff. I honestly have never felt more uncomfortable and unsafe. We called the bank to stop the transaction, but I cannot emphasize on the level of disrespect that we were treated with. We were very upset and left immediately. With several other ice rinks in town, we certainly will not be going back there. I refuse to spend my money on places that don't appreciate...
