I purposefully scheduled an appointment for first thing in the morning before we began moving furniture into our new home on moving day. After waiting 45 minutes and rearranging our schedules to make sure we were available for the appointment at the home we weren’t even living in yet, I called to inquire where they were. The woman who answered not once offered an apology. Instead her excuse was that a last-minute appointment was booked before ours, which then delayed our appointment. We could not wait around any longer as we needed to leave to pick up our moving van. The woman rearranged for the man to arrive once we could return to the house. Clearly, there was no communication between their team. The man showed up while we were taking care of our other scheduled obligations and I informed him we would be able to make it back to the house in about 15-30 minutes. He responded that he could wait around 15 minutes for us to be there to let him. Mind you, we waited almost one hour and caused us to almost miss our next appointment! We had to rearrange our moving day and schedule with friends/family scheduled to help because of their delay. I return to the house to then receive a text saying he was running late and would be at least another 30 minutes if not longer at his current job before he could come. All the times we had rearranged what our plans were for the day to accommodate their lack of time management and communication and never once did the woman on the phone offer an apology or any kind of reimbursement/discount. We were still charged the full amount. One single, sincere apology would have gone a long way. The customer service was pretty awful. Our plan and day was inconvenienced multiple times to work around their needs driving back and forth to then find they still couldn’t commit to when they claimed they would be there. I would not recommend doing business with this company.
UPDATE as of 9/13/23: I received a call from the owner who was very apologetic and wanted to resolve the issue. He was very kind and handled the matter appropriately. I have far more respect for businesses who handle their customer service like this and do the right thing like this gentleman did. He offered us a partial refund or a discount towards a future service. We are thankful he offered an apology and solution to the problem. Because of the way this was handled, I would be willing to offer this company a second chance in the future. Kudos to him for making things right and taking care of the customer in the end. Thank you!! We appreciate it.
UPDATE as of 9/18/23: We received a handwritten letter and check in the mail apologizing for the incident. The owner was very kind and gracious about the matter. It really meant a lot. I've had some pretty awful customer service experiences before, but I have so much respect when businesses take ownership, genuinely apologize and offer an appropriate solution to the problem. Read moreUPDATING my review - if I could give 10 stars I would. We worked with Lee for 2 mos to resolved a terrible pest issue we had. Each time we met with Lee he was kind and helpful. Always giving us feedback on what we did right and what we could do to keep heading in the right direction. Always prompt and took time with us to help put our mind at ease. I am extremely grateful for how quickly my SOS on yelp for an exterminator was intercepted by STL Pest. Their office staff always kind and responsive when we called in a panic (more than once 🙈). I had an emergency pest control issue. I sent out a mass message for help on YELP and STL Pest Control responded within MINUTES. I spoke to Zach in length on the phone and he was kind, thoughtful, empathetic and knowledgeable. He was able to get a tech out to me that afternoon. Far exceeded my expectations. Lee was the tech sent and he was patient with us, answered all our questions and treated our home for the pests after inspection.
He provided tips on how to monitor home and guidance moving forward.
We are not quite out of the woods just yet with the pests BUT we are 95% there.
They are easy to contact, they respond quickly and they are competent & knowledgeable. I am grateful for their quick and personal service.

I LOVE STL pest control.
They are so kind and friendly. They are always on time. They explain everything they’re doing and I never feel lost or talked over. These are what’s important to me. But beyond that their product works and they call to remind me of when my service is due and also when the appt is scheduled for (which of course is good for their business model too, but it helps me bc I forget time).
I love having a bug free home, supporting a local business, and having a business who treats me like a valued customer. Thank you STL Pest control!
Edit: They’re also so knowledgeable. They of course know their product, but they also do such a great job of helping me understand the pests that are in my home or native to the area and how to combat them. They also are so personable and friendly. So I never feel condescended to or like they think I’m silly for being afraid of mice or another other pest. This makes it so easy for me to feel like I can ask them questions.
