We just tried this place for the first time Saturday. They had a great looking menu, and I conveniently placed my order online. I had the traditional lamb gyro, which was as delicious as any that I've ever had. I got the chicken tenders off the ala carte part of the menu for my teenager.
The inside of the place smells wonderful, but it's not your typical restaurant. It's almost like walking into a waiting area, I didn't see any menus, just a simple sign at a counter to ring a bell for service. They must make the food in the back and just go to go orders. There was no seating.
I got home, and noticed the bag was kinda heavy. I only paid for 1 gyro, but there were two in the bag! The ala carte chicken tenders also had a huge helping of fries. I don't know if this is normal, but it was much appreciated!
I definitely recommend giving this unique business a try. It was really good, and I look forward to trying other items on the menu in the not too...

There's many restaurants in the building and St Louis Gyro Express is just one. You order for a screen and really have no human interaction. You are notified when your food is done by text message. Food pickup is in a locker sent to you in the text message.
