I was here with my friend today for the aerial ropes course. Everything was fine up until the end when we exited from the green ramp. Her foot got stuck in a mesh gap, causing her to trip and fall. She immediately started bleeding profusely, and had to put her leg up on the metal benches in the harness/equipment room. It was so bad, that there was a pool of blood on the bench when she got up - no exaggeration. My friend later had to go to the emergency room to get X-rays and 8 stitches. The staff did not seem prepared or trained to handle a situation like this. The manager (Dan) later came into the room and stood there, not identifying himself or offering to help.
A few things to note for your own safety if you are planning on coming, and for the owner of this establishment to take into consideration:
1- Bring your own first aid kit because it took a while for the staff to bring gauze, disinfecting wipes, etc. 2- The manager, Dan, was extremely rude, combative and resistant to feedback. He does not care if anyone gets hurt as long as the place doesnât get sued and you signed the waiver. As a piece of constructive criticism, please learn to have some human decency instead of telling people that âitâs not my fault that she doesnât know how to walkâ - exact quote from Dan. 3- This is a ropes course - we understand that it is not out of the ordinary for someone to get minor cuts/scrapes. Unfortunately in our case, the skin on her knee almost completely came off, exposing the bone. The response to this accident was completely mishandled on managementâs part. Please make sure your staff are properly trained to handle situations like this, and there is a medical kit readily available in the equipment room. 4- The situation was completely mishandled by the manager. His reaction (or lack thereof) and poor attitude is unacceptable. Treat...
Read moreMy husband and I saw this attraction from route 72 while heading down to Barnegat lighthouse Back in June. We had no idea what it was but were determined to find out. So I looked it up online and planned an entire Weekend vacation around this park. I called in advance to make sure they would be open the weekend we Wanted to go and I even asked if I need it to or was able to make a reservation. No one picked up the phone but i was called back within 48hours. They would be up and running in time for my eary sept vacation however a reservation was that necessary or needed nor was there any way for me to make one if I wanted to. The day the vacation we head down there we get to the reception desk and we are told that we would need a reservation and they were completely booked for that day. I explained that this is a small vacation completely centering around this attraction and that I had called in advance and was told there was no need or any way to make a reservationThe attendant was extremely Polite and empathetic she gave us 3 free go kart racesAnd managed to squeeze us inAt 5:00 p.m.. I have to say it was well worth the wait the entire course while terrifying for those afraid of heights really pushes you to test your limits in a safe and environment. However I highly suggest doing the rock wall 1st because if you do like we did and do it at the very end you may find yourself with no grip strength left. We will definitely be back in the future this time with an online...
Read moreI have really been looking forward to trying this place out. Finally was able to go today. Google and their website both said they were open. I tried to book tickets online but was unable to do so. When I called their automated answering system says all the information you need is on their website, no way to get through to an actual person. So I went in to try to talk to someone. Door to the adventure center was open with a big green open sign in the lobby area. Waited around and no one came. Watched the people on the course for a while and no one came. Tried to call got the same automated machine. Finally, found someone in the arcade and they said the adventure center opens next week. While we were standing in the adventure center with a big green open sign. Iâm not mad that they were closed, Iâm mad that there was 0 communication about it anywhere and no way to get information from anyone until I showed up. And there were people still on the course even though they were closed.
Edit: Response to mainland adventure center. I just called back to double check and your answering machine does not say anything about an email. You may want to...
