Olivia coordinated and executed THE most incredible night of our lives - our wedding! After being left disappointed by our visit with an initial venue we had in mind, it struck me that I loved Dolce’s food and admired the countless beautiful photographs of private events I had seen posted on social media and thought - maybe, just maybe Dolce Liberta would be able to accommodate an 100 guest wedding and shut down for us.
I was an anxious mess on the ride over to meet with Olivia for the first time, feeling so thrown off that the first venue I had my heart set on was just not going to be the one for us. However, only minutes into our initial discussion of possibilities for food, decor, and more, I was smiling ear to ear. I felt that click of relief and excitement- Olivia/Dolce were going to be the place my husband and I celebrated our wedding!!
From there, the rest was months of fun idea-sharing and troubleshooting. Olivia was our wedding coordinator, graphic designer for our wedding invites and day-of signage & decor, menu designer, floral designer, the list goes on. I remember thinking - how on earth is Olivia wearing this many hats for our wedding and still operating the restaurant and hosting other private events?! The answer to that question became so very apparent the days leading up to the wedding and on the night of our reception- the Dolce team (although much more like a family) was willing to go above and beyond for Olivia- and my husband and I- to represent the Dolce name and give life to our dream wedding reception.
The servers, food runners, greeters, the chef and line cooks behind the scenes, bar tender’s assistant, etc were all on point. But not just efficient and friendly- tremendously warm and diligent, beyond thoughtful and accommodating, and truly & undeniably caring and proud of their work and what this night meant to my (now) husband and I. Not to mention, they all brought the same energy, enthusiasm, and heartfelt execution to our on-site after party as well!!
Olivia and her team are responsible for hosting the most magical and FUN night of our lives. The words “thank you” will never feel sufficient enough. James & I will never forget 3/16/24 at Dolce Liberta, and neither will our guests (whom ranted and raved about the happy hour spread, dinner selections, service, and atmosphere that night - and still are these days thereafter.) Olivia & the Dolce team have our deepest gratitude and guest-loyalty for life. All our love, The...
Read moreI do not often write restaurant reviews, however, this place really deserves it! I have yet to find really good Italian Food around here. I am from New York and I LOVE to cook ... and I am Italian... so I am used to my Italian food a certain "way". Well, let me tell you- I was super impressed! The two for $38.99 was an amazing deal, with an appetizer, two entrees, soup or salad , and dessert included. There were some up charges for certain things if you wanted to add, which we did!:) First, the bread came out HOT- which I can never understand why all restaurants don't do that! That's always my first impression 😝 Second, the mussels in red sauce were fresh, perfectly cooked, plenty for two people, and the sauce was fresh and delicious! Then onto the soup and salad; Husband got the cream of mushroom soup, which tasted homemade and not overly salty and I got the salad with the house dressing; which was again- on point! For our meals , I got the risotto and added shrimp which was more $$ but a MUST!! It was quite a "saucy" risotto -- but Soooooo good. The shrimp were large and perfectly cooked! My husband got the chicken parm with vodka sauce... and it was actually a pink vodka sauce! Often times I am unimpressed with what some places call vodka sauce😉 The chicken was also so tender and delicious! We ordered a side of meatballs just to try, and although they were pretty good I prob wouldn't order again because there was too much food and not necessary for us. There were 3 choices for dessert ( I don't think from their regular dessert menu) so we tried the cannoli and lemon meringue pie. They were fine... nothing OUTSTANDING but if you even have room for dessert then they will be just fine:) But I came for the Italian dinners... and the flavors and portions were fantastic! Will 💯 be back!! ( Hopefully soon) Would love to try the regular full dinner menu too.... but the special had many entrees to choose from so we wanted to give it a try before we went all in! The service was also excellent too... we made a reservation and were seated promptly and served with smiles:):) 👍👍👍...
Read moreUPDATE: 8/6/25~ Hi Olivia, Thanks so much for the offer to make the experience right. I emailed you as you asked and still have not heard back from you. Is there a better way to correspond with you? I am sure you are very busy and I do not want to bother you. THANKS
I'm writing to follow up on a poor experience we had with a takeout order. We placed an order which included the to-go deal featuring two entrees and then we paid for an additional entrée. Our order was for chicken français, eggplant parmesan (with sauce on the side as indicated on receipt, and gluten-free chicken parmesan with gluten-free pasta and a Caesar salad with no croutons to keep the meal gluten free. Unfortunately, our order contained two significant errors that impacted our meal. Firstly, the eggplant parmesan arrived completely devoid of the requested side sauce, making it unpalatable for my guest. Secondly, and more concerningly, the gluten-free chicken parmesan was accompanied by a Caesar salad containing croutons. This presented a problem for my gluten-free guest as he did not trust that the meal was truly gf, making the meal inedible for him. The presence of croutons in a dish specifically ordered gluten-free indicates a significant lapse in a kitchen's attention to detail and adherence to dietary requirements. This resulted in two entirely wasted meals. I appreciated the kind and understanding response I received from the manager, TJ, when I called. He offered a replacement order or a gift card as compensation. Due to my work schedule that evening, we opted for the gift card. However, the gift card was written for $20 when we went to pick it up. The $20 gift card seemed inadequate compensation for the cost of two completely unusable entrées and the considerable inconvenience caused. I believed there was a more appropriate resolution reflecting the value of the two inedible meals. Since I valued the establishment and their food, I did email the restaurant/owner first and waited for a response which I...
