South falls - Silver Falls State Park is a great place for family hiking. The trail os easy; therefore, parents can bring the kids with for hiking. The path is large that we can walk easily. On top of that, It is a short route which takes around an hour both ways and spending sometimes for photos at this beautiful falls. If you want to go further and see more waterfalls, you can hike another mile. Then you will reach the other falls and walk further to see more waterfalls there. The South falls is a very high falls with the total height of 177ft (around 52 meters) from the ground. There is a trail going down the cave, so it is like we are walking behind the waterfalls falling from the top. It is very beautiful and relaxing hearing the sound of the water falling down and hit the ground water. Overall, South falls - Silver Falls State Park is the great place to release stress with family or friend during holiday or weekends. Therefore, if you have a day off and do not know where to go. You do have to go down a bit & coming back up can be a bit for elderly but me & the kids did it just fine!! I canât wait to come back & walk the whole park & see all the waterfalls!!! We will definitely be back!!! We didnât have to buy tickets in advance.
