I'm grudgingly giving this 3 stars. I prefer to give it half a star at most. I've been coming here regularly for over a year. Silverfalls is my happy place and the sandwiches and coffee were really amazing. So much so that I told many people about it. I came almost weekly, enough that a few of the employees recognized me and learned my name. A little over a week ago I ate here with a friend and had one of their sandwiches... then I show up today and discovered that they are under new ownership and that all of the amazing employees are gone. This was a big disappointment... however, the coffee is still decent. Then I ordered the Maple Ridge BLT (one of my faves) and was so disappointed. The only thing similar in the sandwich is that it still had bacon and tomato. The bread was clearly cheaper than it was last week, definitely not true sour dough like before and the Lettuce wasn't fresh... definitely sub-par. The amount of chips they gave was less than half, and the side of ranch dressing that I paid extra for was half of a small container. Oh... and the price is still the same. The new owners have taken this amazing hidden gem of a Cafe and turned it into garbage in no less than 1 week. Last week they had an amazing Ruben sandwich, one of the best I've ever had. I afraid to try it now as it cost $10 and I don't want to spend that kind of money only to be extremely disappointed with their cheap bread and low...
Read moreWell I ended up not eating there like I to since I ordered a panini and was informed by the older white gentleman running the front end that the kitchen was closed for the night. It was 5 PM and there's no signs that tell you when anything closes and what food is or is not available after a certain time. So I left hungry because I'm not gonna pay that much money for a couple of junk food snacks when that's really not what I wanted, I wanted real food, and also I could just go to the gas station as I was leaving anyways. So I guess word to the wise is if you come here be prepared for the listed food to not be available at whatever time for any given reason because there's no signs indicating when things are available and when they're not. Or the pause after I said what I wanted while he stared at me for a full minute was him debating on whether or not he wanted to serve someone who looked like such a left wing libertarian with their septum nose piercing and bandana over their hair in a bit of right leaning string of towns. Who knows, all I know is I left hungry, but with the $25 difference in my pocket for not having paid the $14 for a panini, $5 for the Italian cream soda and a tip. 🤷♀️ Got a full meal of Salmon, potatoes, and veg premade at Safeway for $9. Money better...
Read moreWe came here after our 6 mile hike. We were starving and couldn't wait to have a beer and chat. The lady taking the order was awful. She looked like she absolutely hated her job. It felt as if we were bothering her by making an order. After ordering it asks if you want to tip. We did, because we thought maybe the food is worth the tip. WRONG! We then picked up our beers from a friendly gentleman. Our group chatted about how rude the front lady was until we got our order. We then had another rude interaction with a different lady. There was multiple orders sitting on the counter. We were confused whether or not we just grab what we think is ours or get it handed to us. The lady just stood their silent looking at us, it was so odd. We left with what we thought was our food. 10 minutes later our friends got their food and it was missing cheese. He went in and told the lady. She grabbed a price of cheese with her bare hands and put it on top of his plate. The food was blan and didn't look appetizing. No matter how hungry you are, get back in your car and go...
