This is a large park surrounded by a large open lake. When we didn't look like there was much to do, it was a bit chilly. There were people over at one of the many picnic tables, sitting down eating while their dog relaxed. Along aide them. The picnic tables were covered with a nice shelter if you wanted to get out of rain or sun. There was a splash pad, a water park area that was closed because it was too cold. My son was cold, so he wanted to sit in the car to be warm after chasing around some geese. Upon looking out the window I found some scooters you could rent. You see them all over the city now and they looked like a great idea. So I downloaded the app and rented one for about 20 mins. Boy are they pricey. 38cents for a minute. 19 mins plus taxes and fees it came out to almost $10. We'll worth the smile, laughter and fun he had. Then we drove over to the playground aread and they had two separate areas for kids. One area was designed for kids 2-5 and the other area was a bit taller with more obstacles designed for kids 5-12. They had so much fun and the park was clean and eventful. Also located behind and army base. Needless to say. Come have a good time with your kiddos.

A beautiful park with great paved walking paths in Stillwater! Gorgeous views of the lake and plenty of seating as well. A great park for all fitness levels. Whether you park (plenty of parking too) and enjoy a short walk or plan to adventure a few miles, Boomer Park has something for everyone. Many people had hammocks up among the trees relaxing and taking in the beautiful day! There is also a great little stand set up that rents out canoes and other equipment! A lake once used to provide drinking water to the town. Now that it is no longer used for this purpose the city has utilized such a nice area by turning it into a park!

Boomer lake is a really nice place to walk, run, or sit and read a book. I've seen several folks fish here as well. Recently, I'm been coming fairly regularly as it's just within walking distance from where I live. However, some people tend to not pick up after themselves despite trash bins being placed further down the walking trails and pavilions. If more trash cans were placed near the park benches it may be easier for visitors to clean up their mess. But I still enjoy my time here, its really quite peaceful and quiet.
