Sandwich Planet — Restaurant in Stillwater

I found Sandwich Planet to be exactly as described in every 5-star review posted on Google. This is a one-man operation, the food is made fresh, so be patient. You will be well rewarded. If you have the time, dine in the small dining room. It only has 4 tables. And if you are really lucky you will get a chance to meet the owner and have a conversation. He is extremely friendly, outgoing, hospitable and an interesting person to talk to. For us the Falafel Sandwich and a Shawarma Chicken. Both of these are served as hot wraps and came with fries. While these were cooking the owner brough us two cups of Lentil soup with hot, fresh fried pita chips to try. I have not been a fan of lintel soup. This was excellent. Not a drop left in my cup. The seasoning made the difference. The sandwiches arrived and with them a complimentary hummus dip. Very good dip. We finished off the chips with it. And then before we had finished our sandwiches, two samples of fabulous Baklava arrive! A simple lunch turned into a 5-course meal, thanks to the owner. What else can I say except AMAZING!! I found out about this place thru the Stillwater Community Page on Facebook--everyone was raving about this place, so I decided to try it! I was greeted by the owner and his family, who were amazing, and I got the chicken shwarma. WOW. The flavors were amazing! Literally my favorite sandwich now.

I love this place, and I love that we have such amazing places like this in Stillwater! The owners are from Palestine and they also sell olive oil from Palestine here. The decorations inside give this restaurant a nice, welcoming, homey feel. They have pictures of their food, their culture, Palestine, and other cool photos. My wife and I decided to stop in for the first time today and it was amazing ! The first thing I would like to mention is that the gentleman behind the counter was extremely kind and made us feel very welcomed ! Second the food was amazing! We had the plain hummus while we waited for our main dish and it was some of the best hummus we ever had ! The gentleman brought us some falafel as well and it was also spectacular! My wife had the falafel wrap and I had the gyro and it was perhaps one of the best gyros I've ever had !
