My husband and I stayed here with family a few years back and absolutely loved this spot. We returned this past week, November 18th through the 22nd, and continue to love this place. I would have given it five plus stars for the location, the privacy, the cleanliness and beauty of the accommodations along with the incredible uniqueness of the place. However, we had a few glitches that could have been more easily resolved had there been on-site management available. When we first arrived, the living room TV was not connected to the wireless router, therefore, no channel access. We called the number provided and ended up needing a maintenance person to actually come to the suite to locate the router and fix the issue. There was a bit of a communication struggle, but all was resolved the very next day. Since there were two more TV's, one in each bedroom, this was not a real crisis. The other issue was the low water volume and pressure in both the bathroom showers. This issue was not resolved to our satisfaction, however this was the only problem we had and all the positives of this unique place far outweighed the small irritation of low water volume and pressure in the showers. Hopefully the management will look into this situation and resolve the issue before our next visit. It was sad that the bar & restaurant were no longer operational and the clubhouse was not being used to its full potential, which would have added a lot to the experience, but we were not put off by that. We had access to the small gym and it was more than adequate as was the sana right off the gym. Both were very well maintained and extremely clean, as was the beautiful pool and the entire property. All in all, we would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a very private, hidden oasis that is off the beaten path, yet close enough to all that Key West offers that you can spend your days and evenings on Key West and return to the peace and quiet of this Stock Island resort for a restful night. It is an exceptional experience that we hope to enjoy again and again. The housekeeping staff and the maintenance personnel were exceptionally courteous and went out of their way to see that we were taken care of. A huge thank you to the entire team who care for this property. Can't wait to return with family...
Read moreKey West Harbour (now Stock Island Resort and Yacht Club) was a dream come true. My husband and I wanted a destination wedding and had our hearts set on the Florida Keys. From day one, as we started looking at and touring venues, Karen Verri was responsive, accommodating, and professional. We ended up deciding on Key West Harbour because of the gorgeous location, amenities, and the privacy they offered. The value that they provided in comparison to other locations nearby was unmatched. Karen was extremely flexible about finding a package that worked for our needs and budget. She provided wonderful recommendations for everything from the decor, timeline, and other vendors. We also wanted to include our dogs in the ceremony. Karen assisted us with this and was more than happy to accommodate our 4 legged children in the wedding. We ended up staying in a suite on site and I can't stress it enough that if you choose to have your wedding here (which you should) that staying on site made the entire experience much less stressful. Their suites and onsite amenities are clean, updated, spacious, and beautiful. Karen was also present the whole day of our wedding and was there to make sure everything went off without any problems and to ensure that myself and the groom were enjoying our day. You can tell that she is both passionate and great at her job. On top of everything else, the food that they served was probably the best food I have ever had at a wedding (their Rib-Eye steak was huge and cooked perfectly, and other guests commented on how great the Mahi Mahi was). We are already planning...
Read moreI recently had a party on board my yacht that the staff from Key West Harbour serviced with food, liquor, a bartender and servers. I have eaten at the restaurant several times and was pleased with the quality but had never been to an event there so I honestly wasn't sure. We've all eaten at large events where the food is not at the level as cooked to order restaurant dishes. Here it was even more of a challenge because although my boat was on the marina grounds it still wasn't right next to the kitchen. Well none of that mattered. Everything the KWH staff did was exemplary. The chef Clive came down to make sure everything was prepared correctly and the food was exceptional, the bar staff made some special drinks and the servers were great. My guests had a tremendous time and the KWH staff where a huge part of that. This facility is not only a restaurant but I see many private events, weddings, etc. going on there and now I can see why. Besides being a beautiful location the service...
