Casual Monday Charters — Local services in Stock Island

I wasn't able to go on the planned excursion with Captain Zak, but it's worth mentioning that he was so helpful in planning it and so kind about my need to cancel. When booking and deciding what time to leave he was very flexible and seemed to care only about our enjoyment then any schedule he might have. He was even welcoming about us bringing our 80 lb dog on board. The booking process was incredibly easy, and he made sure to text us the night before to ensure we knew where we were going and exactly what to do. He was so understanding about my canceling due to the weather, even though he said he was perfectly happy to take us out regardless of the rain. (He explained the weather pattern to me). In addition to the rain, my dog wasn't feeling well, so I decided it wouldn't work out that day, and he refunded me immediately and insisted it was no big deal despite my feeling so guilty! Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about our experience! Our group booked a 4-hour sandbar trip for one outing and then the next day we did the sunset cruise. Both experiences were wonderful. The boat ride to and from the sandbar had beautiful scenery and being on the sandbar and watching the change in tide was a new experience. Unfortunately, cloudy weather prevented us from seeing the sunset, but Zak took us on a tour of different harbors and we still had a really good time and it was a wonderful evening. Not only does Zak keep his boat clean and well stocked with the essentials, i.e., float mat and noodles for floating and cooler stocked with ice and water, he himself was very personable and knowledgeable and provided a lot of various history and stories about the area. I just can't say enough about Casual Monday Charters! First, Captain Zac is so great!! He not only was an awesome tour guide and very knowledgeable, but we felt so safe with him and with our kiddos on board that meant a lot!! He is fun and has a great personality and easy to talk to and communicate with and we felt like we were all just good friends riding on a boat and not just paying for a tour. BIG PLUS TO US!! Though we have loved coming to Key West the last couple of years, we decided this will probably be our last vacation here because we want to explore more of the upper islands, but with that being said, we will still be driving down to Stock Island to venture out with Captain Zac (hopefully) many more times.
