Actually people, you CANNOT get anything you want, INCLUDING Alice, or Arlo!
My senior year of high school, '78/'79, after my insane high school got kicked out of it's property in Lake Grove, Long Island, NY because it was too crazy, moved up to W. Stockbridge and into the old Stockbridge School (renamed DiSisto At Stockbridge after founder/principle/guru/semi cult leader crazy man/genius A Micheal DiSisto) that Arlo went to!
He agreed to come sing for us, but was a no show! So you CAN'T GET Arlo...
Then there was Alice, she had turned the restaurant into a B & B (or maybe it was a new location since google is calling this the original location, i really can't picture the building or setting anymore) where many of the parents, including mine, stayed when they came to visit
She promised to come cook for us, and she DID come.... but she ate our institutional cook's food with us instead of cooking! (Maybe the original "promises" were really DiSisto bullshitting us? I dunno, DiSisto was semi famous at the time, from an article in Time, and several daytime talk show appearances, & we had 3 kids of show biz families, so who knows?)
We did have some damn good cooks for a school tho, still the best cornbread I've ever had came from those ladies!
Nonetheless, you CAN'T get Alice to cook for you either!!!

As far as Arlo not showing & singing, would've been amazing to meet him, but I had already seen him & Pete Seeger, or solo, probably 10 times already by then, so for me at least it...
