I take my son to Anderson Park during the week in the day time so he can get his p. E. time for school. It's a nice open area with trees for shade when the weather is too warm. As nice as it is during the day, I wouldn't bring kids around here at night. The skate park right next door becomes the hangout for some local tweakers and othger riffraff. We made the mistake of having a park break in the early evening one day, as soon as we got there neither my son or myself felt very comfortable.
