This bar does not protect its female patrons. I will preference this by saying the bouncer for the night did not card me or my group, including a guest who was there for the very first time. Two times we were approached by an older man who brought a large cockatoo on the premises. Every time he brought the bird (who I never asked to come around) he would take dozens of photos without asking. The bouncer watched and did nothing. The bird patron had also previously stopped the same person of my party by the bathrooms and cornered her there for more photos. Third attempt the bird patron cornered us outside on their patio with no seating. Again, he placed his bird on my friends shoulder without consent and asked her to pose facing his camera despite her protests. When her husband attempted to move the bird off, he was yelled at by the birds owner who continued to take photos. I gently removed the bird from her shoulder with my hand and allowed the bird to pass from my hand back to his owners shoulder. The man yelled at me to not touch her(my friend) and to get my hands out of his photos. He then threw his phone at me in an attempt to frighten me. Again, the bouncer watched this entire encounter and did not intervene or say a word. Instead, after pouring his own drink at the bar and downing it, he attempted to yell at me, a female patron, for not allowing a stranger to continue taking photos without consent. He asked "did she want her photos taken?" implying that I had done the wrong thing by listening to her protests. He then threatened my designated driver multiple times by invading his space and calling him uncalled for names. My boots had even been stepped on in order to shove me aside to stand in my designated drivers face. He would not allow him to close out his own tab, stating someone else could do it for him. Something I've never heard of. As we walked out, the same bouncer continued to yell insults and then take off his jacket. I was scared. This was my first Halloween going out and my first time bringing a friend here. Yesterday night for kareoke night I witnessed the same bouncer/bartender pour drinks and drop his shot glasses, being visibly intoxicated. I will never again go here, it's not safe for women and the employees drink on the job to the point of negligence. You can find a better bar with better...
Read moreWent on Dec 30, 2023; the day before New Years. The Cowboys 20 and Lions 19 were playing. The place was empty. Although about 8pm they setup the entrance tables to start charging entrance fees. They only serve nachos. They don't open at 11am; they open at 5pm. Bartender was helpful, they don't have 1/2 pitchers, but she was willing to fill up a pitcher halfway. I got the whole pitcher. Enjoyed the game, talked to security and bartender and found out that Google Maps information was wrong (opening times off, don't serve food). This was my first time there. Wanted to spend New Year's in beautiful Stockton CA. Got all my info off of Google Maps, I arrived hungry and there was no food served. I went to the store and bought crackers, salami and...
Read moreI'll be blunt, the atmosphere was good, liked the music choice. Staff was friendly and attentive. The mimosa was good but not great, asked for peach and it tasted like regular, but the alcohol to juice ratio was perfect. The cilaquiles verdes were good but not great, the salsa was too much lime and no Chile, even though Verde salsa is supposed to be weak it still needs spiciness to be called salsa, lime overpowered the natural taste of tortillas, the egg and even the chorizo flavor. The country potatoes were good but most places including here don't cook them long enough to give them that crisp outer taste I expect from country potatoes, the bell peppers need to be cooked longer to give them that softness, onions...
