Chuck E. Cheese — Restaurant in Stockton

At 59 years old and biased by negative national press and hater attitude that Stockton seems to embrace so tightly (opps) I was shocked when I entered and found the place clean well lite calm modern with families and groups enjoying good whole fun. All types of families all types of fun food games. So relieved was I that the shock of seven dollar bud draft beer in a plastic cup was just a passing thing . Just watching my date's nine year old get excited delighted to the point we had to round her up for surprising good cheese pizza. The staff were gracious polite ...damn it, they were NICE , to me ,to my date, the kids, other clientele. Kind of spookie for this town ....but cool. Refreshing . And doggone it ...all the bias , gossip of shootings , fights , beer fueled parents , bullies , brawls , out of control sugar fuel midget knee biters burning the old man at the stake ...I had some real issues , I'll tell you . Yet with all that baggage ...after more than an hour and a half of this good wholesome fun I found myself ...happy , content and we'll pleased at the delighted birthday girl that by her own admission was exhausted as was I. This was my first Chuckie cheese visit and damn it ...it was good. All of it. The whole thing . Even not drinking or seven dollar bud in a clear plastic cup. Good. Good times. Good people . Great pleasant service and staff. One last shining star to place on this constellation...the cleanest absolute best public men's room I have ever been in since the Mark Hopkins . Spooky clean. Unexplainably clean. Not a drop wet spot smudge anywhere ..soap in the dispenser. Paper in paper towel dispenser and a cool bubble gum air freshener... weird but weird good ...maybe Monday evenings are special or Chuckie turns clientele into...

I took my nephew here and signed up for a membership that i can’t cancel for 12 months without having been for awhile which was fine I just began coming often no problem at all. The issue is that every time we come the staff is terribly rude. I understand because I work in customer service and I work with children and I get how frustrating and exhausting it can be I can’t imagine it combined but no matter when I come wether it is full or when we are one of two families here there staff is always so incredibly rude. I’ve dealt with it and continued to come because I understand the circumstances and I have a membership I can’t cancel so it is what it is but i’ve had my final straw with this location. My 2 year old nephew was ran into by a staff member. Complete shin to the face while he was with his uncle and I totally understand accidents happen but when I ran up and asked what happened she had no response and when I picked him up and asked again she said “he was under my legs” no apology no concern and my poor nephew the tough guy he is was trying so hard not to cry with that pouty lip kids get when their feeling are hurt. I walked with him to the table and she just walked away like nothing happened. I was hoping we’d get an apology before we left but got no such thing. I feel like i’ve been more than understanding with the staff here but I just can’t continue coming . I will be calling corporate trying g to get out of...

The arcade is pretty small more so when it's busy though with it has a variety of games. Herecin the summer of 2024 they went around and cut games jackpots by a good percentage, to the point Space 66 will sometimes give you less tickets if you do comtuine play as my photo proves.

The bonus on space 66 used to be 50. Its now 30 and if you fail and continue it will only pay out 20 tickets total.

The claw machine for the spikey balls is rigged to a payout method but honestly that's typical of most any claw machine.

It's been interesting to see how the staff are trying to limit ticket earnings. But there are some games that they can't rig NERF arcade being the big one it's just repeating stages. The only thing they can control are how much time there is per round 60, (45, theirs is set to this vaule currently) 30. and what the nerf jackpot is.

The staff have been great asides one manager (older woman, gray hair) who lied and said "it's illegal to sell prizes" after I loaded up on monopoly animal crossing games as it's their only good prize or was till they took it off display.

Obviously she was wrong and I was just giving them it was her decision to price them so low that I won eight. Those games are worth like 7 dollars each if that anyway it's worthless to sell. I've given all but my copy away already.

But again other than her, the staff have been welcoming imho especially with how understaffed this...
