Very clean park before you get to the actual beach. The beach is relatively clean as well. But the real reason we go to the beach,or the main attraction is the water. Let's be honest,looks can be deceiving, as is the case with this stretch of dying ocean. The second you step into the sand you can smell the petroleum and there are signs warning of the potential health hazards of prolonged exposure to the beach here. Nice rainbow slicks and dirty foam caress the shoreline sprinkled with the occasional oil spot,which looks like the sand on the beach has been shot and that's the blood seeking out of the wound. Horses were ridden all along the shore in front of nice homes. The people who are fortunate enough to own such a relaxing & scenic piece of California ocean front property deserve better treatment from the California Coastal Commission or some break in their property taxes,having to deal with the constant toxicity. Fun to bring the family dog for a good round of fetch.
