Very clean park before you get to the actual beach. The beach is relatively clean as well. But the real reason we go to the beach,or the main attraction is the water. Let's be honest, looks can be deceiving, as is the case with this stretch of dying ocean. The second you step into the sand you can smell the petroleum and there are signs warning of the potential health hazards of prolonged exposure to the beach here. Nice rainbow slicks and dirty foam caress the shoreline sprinkled with the occasional oil spot, which looks like the sand on the beach has been shot and that's the blood seeking out of the wound. Horses were ridden all along the shore in front of nice homes. The people who are fortunate enough to own such a relaxing & scenic piece of California ocean front property deserve better treatment from the California Coastal Commission or some break in their property taxes, having to deal with the constant toxicity. Fun to bring the family dog for a good...

I really enjoyed this lookout , so beautiful on the day we were there , we were plesently surprised that there was a play area for kids , we have grandkids of our own and we both agreed this would be a perfect place to bring them, the view from this look out is one of the best my husband and I wish we came pripared with a snake our something because we did not won’t to leave , as we walked around we noticed that is was dog friendly, and it provides beach access, but more importantly this lookout is so well taken care of so impressed, so clean , we loved it there and we plane on going back soon ....

No Photo as my cell was charging and it was raining. Stopped there to watch the ocean and birds while waiting for the traffic to slow down and was amazed at what a great find this little park is. There is a caretaker named Jim that takes great care in making sure this little piece of heaven stays clean and welcoming. It was a real joy to see they had an operating dog wash with an adorable tin slanted roof and clean restrooms. The park also has access to the beach and I can only describe this part as an undisturbed...

When we're traveling up or down the coast, this is the perfect place to stop for lunch. It is so beautiful and peaceful high on a cliff, with magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean! It has changed slightly through the years and has always been well kept with its big beautiful lawn. Now they have a self-service doggy bath which is really neat and a play yard for the kids. There are also restrooms, picnic tables all around and easy access to the ocean down below. One of the best parts, there are no fees to stop here!

This place is terrific! Well maintained, lots of seating, good facilities (even a dog wash!) I would absolutely give it 5 stars except the name implies there's something to see from the edge where the benches are and... It's just water. That sounds ridiculous, but compared to places like El Matador Beach where there are fascinating rock formations, the looking out here is not that great. BUT, the swimming at the beach below is fantastic for all ages and levels! I wish i could do 4.9 stars!
