It's a very fun place IMO. I wouldn't call it a top tier dirt track but it's a must see place for dirt oval racing fans when you are in Wisconsin. The track itself is quite round, not much banking, and the surface is just OK. A little less than a third mile according to WoO. There is a very long and storied history of dirt midget racing here and the building in turns 1/2 holds the modest national midget racing hall of fame.
In recent years another promoter from the paved track nearby in Oregon WI took over these responsibilities and you can tell they are headed in a good direction. The land is public owned, in years past the firemen and volunteers worked events. It's a pretty nice area, more of a park setting than your typical dirt track, the town itself is close by. I have enjoyed going to Angell Park for many years. But it's safe to say I will NEVER attend a race at Angell...

That guy is a whack job, but he can drive a race car. Those old hard bleachers on the front straight have been the place where many future racing stars watched their first races. You didn't sit close enough if you didn't get hit in the face with a clod of dirt or get some chunks in your beer. The history of racing can't be told without Angell...
