I wish there was a 3.5 stars. Better than 'Okay' and not quite 'Liked it' material.

I use this shop because I live in town and want to support local businesses. They have always been helpful even and never made me feel like I was asking a dumb question. The owner has been patient with me when I ask a lot of questions about the latest bike I got off craigslist.

I take my bikes here for tune ups and recently had a repair done. I called on Monday, and was asked to bring the bike in for a proper quote. I didn't get around to bringing the bike in until Wed, but the owner recognized my request and said "Ah you're the guy that called on Monday." It was near closing time and he said I would get a call from them tomorrow.

I called them at 5pm and asked for an update, they hadn't had a chance to look at my bike yet so he said he would check it out and call me back in 20 minutes with an estimate. 50 minutes later I received a friendly call with a great price to fix my bike's crank (threading issue), true up the wheel, and lube it up.

I haven't picked it up yet, and am curious how long...

Nice LBS. Didn't meet the owner, but the tech on staff was the right combo of friendly and honest. I ride a heavy, old, schwinn and you wouldn't believe how many times I've taken it to Erik's or the like for a tune up and gotten the awkward sales pitch before the estimate. If I wanted a new bike, I wouldn't ask you to fix my old one, right?

I brought my old bike to Sun City, asked for a tune up and front brake fix, then; as if by magic the tech goes "cool, it'll be ready day after tomorrow" and it fricking was.

Lube, front brake adjustment, front brake housing, rear brake pads, and a seasonal check, all for 50$. In my experience this is comparable to most chains if not better.

10/10 would...

Best and only bicycle shop in Sun Prairie. Cale is the Man to see. New, Used like new, bicycles, parts and accessories., Tune ups, it's a 1 stop shop. Even for people in the East or Central Madison area this is the place! I bought my last GT Mountain bike at REI yet I am 100% certain I purchased a better deal here. So get a WINTER Tune up, and your bike running like new! Also open until 7pm is completely unheard of! So get off work load your flat tired bike up and get it Fixed. See you on the trails. Please get a light or Reflectors and be Safe. (Edit) They do skate sharpening, so on your way to the rink, you now have No Lines and shapened exactly how you like! Support your local...
