Grocery Outlet — Attraction in Sunnyvale

Jessica yelled at my 16 year old daughter as I was trying to buying some wine, going as far as telling me that she had to see my minor child's ID and she "could not sell me the wine without her also being 21." Jessica then told me that was the law, which she told me to look up and I did, showing that in California you can buy alcohol with your child around. I asked my daughter to go outside so Jessica would be appeased, but she still didn't calm down. She then told me to look at the picture of the sign in the store, there weee two people on it, and she said, "those are my parents, and WE OWN THIS STORE." The cashier was kind, didn't get involved really, but other employees came to see why Jessica was yelling. Another employee tried backing her up and saying she is right. I definitely won't be coming back to this store or any of their bargain mart.

Maybe Jessica had a bad day, but yelling at customers and misrepresenting the law is just...

This place is hit or miss for me. Some days they’ll have some great deals you won’t get elsewhere but most of the days I find this place is either average or more expensive than Walmart. I will only visit this store whenever I have nothing else to do and have some time on my hands. The selection is not great and the stuff they do have are hand-me-downs from other stores that didn’t sell. ALWAYS CHECK PRICES WITH YOUR PHONE as the listed prices are not always cheaper than other places- like I said it’s very hard to beat Walmart prices in most cases but you might get lucky. The staff here is super nice and helpful! Store is overall very clean and reasonably organized. I’m only removing one star because of lack of selection, for what they are though - a discount store, they are doing an amazing job. Definitely worth a visit. Bring your lucky charms with you, it may be your day to score some...

Great place to get groceries at bargain prices. Consistently friendly and helpful staff too. Personally, I also like the fact that it's small enough for me to get everything I need quickly and that they have all the basics all the time. Some specialty things that I like are only available periodically, but that's no problem because I just stock up when I see them there.

12.12.2019 About 40 dollars fell out of my open wallet onto the checkout counter while I was paying for my groceries. I didn't notice at all, being busy with bagging my groceries and keeping an eye on my young son. Thankfully, the clerk pointed it out to me when he noticed it.
