Kenneth D. Batts Family Park — Attraction in Surf City

This park is kind of like a hidden gem. It looks small from the road. The playground doesn't have much to it and there's a much better one close by at Soundside Park. There is, however, a basketball court and a restroom. The best part of this park is the long peir out into the marsh! What a view! We were there on a nice evening and there was only one other family there.

This was a very serene yet educational walk along the pier in a way. You get to look at the view of such an amazing marsh, which is a landscape I dont see quite often. There are public restrooms available and a nice tiny park for children, or adults, no judgement here 😅. At the end of the pier, is a nice lookout amongst the flowing water.
