The bagels are good, but I just had the worst customer experience I have had in 10 years. I am staying at a beach house next door. They were busy. New person on the register, which isn't a problem. I order 3 sandwiches and two bagels. My order comes out. It looks like a bagel is missing. I did not empty the contents of the bag. I ask if the two bagels I ordered are in there. A different employee assures me that they are. I return to my rental and realize I am missing a bagel. I return to the restaurant and it had not been rung up. No problem once again. When I return to my house again my wife had opened her breakfast sandwich and realized it was wrong. It was correctly rung up. At this point I am a little frustrated. I return to the store with the sandwich, which my wife had pulled apart to look for lox, which should have been included. They also put capers on it when there were supposed to be none. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. The biggest frustration was how I was handled when I returned. Instead of just apologizing and making another one, they stated "so you ate it". My wife had taken two bites realized it was wrong, and then pulled it apart to see it was incorrect. They approached it as if it were my fault. I am having to shout to some lady in the back, because no one approached me to just ask what was wrong with my order. I also returned the ticket that clearly showed no capers. I waited 30 minutes for the order to come through and when i noticed at least 3 other customers had received their very large orders before mine i mentioned to the cashier that i hadn’t received my order. This was frustrating as i was standing in front of the cashier who had seen me standing there and never looked into anything. Afterwards she realized the order has never been put through and said that my bagels would be coming up next. At least 2 other customers received their orders before mine and it took at least 15 minutes until we finally received our order. No one offered a refund or any other compensation and instead just said “there is nothing we can do”. After all of this my order was actually incorrect. Covid’s over lose the strong arm robbery of an extra 15% min or just pay cash to avoid. What lead me to the two star review is we live here and always call our order in and today no one was answering so I figured ah they must be slammed so I will head over and wait in line like our visitors to discover a blonde haired worker in a pink bass pro shop hat signal to the workers and mouth don’t answer the phone when it would ring. There were only 2 other people in line. I hope this reaches the owners and they can maybe have a conversation with that employee since ultimately she is costing you business by limiting your sales.
