Had a fun time doing these two peacock bowls in a slightly different way than I usually do it. They came out great though! #3generationsartstudio #femaleartist #pottery #ceramics #wheelthrown #handmade #bowls

3 Generations art studio is a delightful destination for families seeking a creative bonding experience. While they offer a range of artistic activities, including clay pottery and canvas painting, my personal favorite is decorating their ceramics. Their collection of unpainted white ceramics spans a wide price range, from $8 to $80, depending on the size and intricacy of the design. You'll find charming mugs and small figurines in the lower price range, while larger pieces like 16-inch yard gnomes and horn of plenty table toppers come at a higher cost. The best part is that you won't incur any additional expenses for paint supplies, utensils, or the firing process, as these are all included in the item's purchase price.

One important detail to note is that you'll need to return to pick up your finished masterpiece, as they do not fire the glaze in the kiln on the same day.

The studio can be a haven of relaxation, or at least it has the potential to be. However, my recent visits have been less serene than I had hoped. The music playing in the background creates a pleasant atmosphere, and the selection of artwork to paint is inspiring. Unfortunately, the staff members themselves have proven to be quite loud, intrusive, and bothersome. Instead of immersing myself in my creative process and the soothing melodies, I found myself increasingly annoyed by the workers engaging in negative gossip about local townspeople. Visitor after visitor would arrive just to sit with the staff and indulge in complaining about their lives, other individuals, and anything else they could find fault in. When they weren't criticizing, they were engaged in incessant name-dropping and bragging about their acquaintances. It was perplexing to witness their inability to adjust their volume levels, as they conversed with each other as if they were speaking to a grandparent without their hearing aid.

Furthermore, in those rare moments when the staff refrained from gossiping, they would pester you with questions about your artwork, why you chose specific colors and patterns, and offer unsolicited suggestions. Their constant intrusions became rather bothersome.

To truly enhance the experience, the studio staff would benefit from adopting a more contemplative approach, akin to that of librarians. Understanding the diverse needs of their visitors and recognizing when some individuals simply desire solitude to fully immerse themselves in their creative expression without interference would greatly improve the overall ambiance.

Despite these drawbacks, 3 Generations art studio remains a pleasant place to nurture your artistic spirit. By making a few adjustments, particularly in regard to the conduct of the staff, the studio could reach even greater heights and provide an exceptional creative...

We have enjoyed the atmosphere and the instructor. They have pieces already done for purchase as well. This sweet art studio has become one of our favorite places...
