Well, hello folks. Been quite awhile since I've had anything to contribute, and Google, I apologize, (they've been after me to do something). Ok, here we go, but first a word, if you don't mind, about how I do reviews. I don't really talk about the product or service much. So many reviewers do those topics that there's not much I can add. Same with pictures, I only took two here. Instead I look elsewhere as you will see. Also, I'm long winded. So if you're brave enough to come with me, here it is..... This was my first visit although my family has been there often. My wife was greeted as an old friend and we were even asked about our granddaughters who spent last summer with us having come from Texas. We sat at a table and I looked around. The floor is real wood that might be original or not. The owners don't try to hide it with rugs or tile. It's in full view with all imperfections in plain sight, I like that. Now the other stuff. It took a bit but I saw that all the tables and chairs were different. Not the normal cookie cutter stuff found in other places. Also, as far as I could tell, all are real wood. They have not been refurbished just cleaned. The varnish has been worn away in spots giving a homey, well used look. I like that too. The floor was quite clean even in the courners. The ceiling, well that's another matter. It's mostly white, however much of the paint has peeled away, (see photo), a perfect counterpart for the floor. Now the restrooms. They are at the end of a short hallway, on the right. If one was to go left, you'd find yourself in the utility room with all the yucko stuff, ugh! There are two unisex restrooms, very clean, so be mindful if the door is closed but not locked. They have some unique mirrors, (see photo). Ok guys, deep breath, let out slowly... almost done. I took a look at the other reviews and was impressed that every one I looked at was answered by the owner. On one poor review criticizing the workers, the answer pointed to the customer as not being on their best behavior either. That one gave me a chuckle, way to go owner!! Also on another review the owner gave a number and a name for the customer to call so the reviewer's experience could be discussed. Over all a very good place to spend some time and be refreshed, and to think I gave away a gift card, but I think it was for a good reason. I have given four stars which from me is high if you've seen any other review I've done. I didn't give five stars because there is always, somewhere, room for improvement. Ok, for those who stayed with me, thank you. Perhaps we will meet again. Have a wonderful blessed and safe...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreYum!! Absolutely loved this place. We were visiting Tennessee from Michigan and found out about Sweetwater Creamery on Yelp. The flavors looked amazing and we just had to see for ourselves.
My husband ordered the Blueberry Cheesecake in a waffle bowl and I had the Mudslide & Kahlua (adult flavors) in a waffle cone. The ice cream was fresh, creamy and tasted exactly like the flavors ordered.
The staff was warm and welcoming. They answered any and all of our questions and waited patiently for us to make our final choices. One of the ladies noticed we were looking at Airbnb's while were enjoying our ice cream and made the recommendation for us to check out the Remedies Inn, a boutique inn, across the street. We ended up booking a room and were very grateful for her suggestion.
Downtown Sweetwater is quaint, cute and very inviting. It makes me feel like I'm in a Hallmark movie. We instantly fell in love with the people and town. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are thinking of moving here in a few years. To think, it all started with a Yelp review about ice cream.
Unfortunately they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays so we didn't make it back in. But this will be one of our first stops when we come...
