To all my Poly people and everyone else that shops at New Day market. Please be aware and double check your receipts. Not ones but twice has this couple over charged me when I went shopping here. When I asked for an explanation for the extra charges on my receipt this man (cashier/owner) got offended and said he wasn't perfect but yet he added on extra charges and claimed that it was a customer before me, so I guess someone left the store without paying for their items? Lies!!!!! The wife did the same thing to me a week before but it was two six packs of beer that a customer before me paid for when I was standing right there. I now believe that this couple are stealing from the customers when their prices are already an arm and a leg. I also bought bananas that were from the day before that were reheated. My partner went to get food from this place and just like everyone says they don't have prices on anything. He came back saying he must have gotten the white guy price, was charged $30 for two plates of rice with chicken. One chicken leg on each, one piece of tomato and a whole bunch of plain rice. The food was not horrible but i don't think it's worth $30. We could have gone to Dusty's or top of Tacoma and gotten a burger and beer special each AND enjoyed sitting outside for around the same price. I would not recommend this place, I wish I could since it's so nice to support your local markets and have places that serve diverse foods but this place is not...

VERY EXPENSIVE.... Just WOW. $10.99 per lb for cooked taro. First of all they don't have the pricing on the food area. Lady at hot food section stated that we'll get the pricing at the cashier. Got to the cashier, he stated that someone just took the pricing off this morning and that he has been selling with this price for many years..... Wonder how many years they have been saying the same excuse for prices not shown.

You'll save at least $50 for the same...
