Had a wonderful visit to the zoo. It was my 3 yr. Old granddaughters 1st time at the zoo. They have a new aquarium too. They have discounts for family memberships if you receive food stamps or are disabled. Pays for 1 time at the zoo. My daughter suffered a spinal cord injury and we were able to rent her a scooter. Just wish they were offered free of charge.

Lovely urban park with excellent views of the point, Vashon Island, and the narrows. Zoo and aquarium offer fun for the family, and the extensive trail system offers hours of natural exploration. Multiple parking lots make parking a breeze. There’s also easy access to the footbridge to Point Ruston from the Pearl St. entrance.

What an amazing zoo! So well kept and landscaped that it is better than the much bigger Woodland Park. The staff is so good especially in the aquarium(chat with the shark expert lady or Micah). My son and I and my mom go at least once a week:) Very friendly to special needs kids!

The Zoo and Aquarium is excellent for Washington State. But this time me and two other friends where here for the Shark Cage Dive program. First off you get a discount if you are a member of the Aquarium and also if you schedule a dive during the weekday. Thus weekends are regular price. The price of the dive includes admission as well. Which worked out because after the fact, we checked the new sea life building that has been finished for a little while now :) It was amazing. extra nice because there where only employees in the building. that was in the afternoon on a Friday. Back to the Shark Dive...you meet outside the sting ray exhibit. they check your id and collect your forms you are to fill out before hand, for emergency contact, allergies or conditions ect. ( I recommend you bring clothes to change into, most likely you will get wet even in the diving suits. Then they take you to a particular room above the Shark Tank. where you will go over facts and what is going to take place to get into the tank. The people that where teaching and helping us, have such a love for the sharks. It was that much more enjoyable because of that :) Don't hesitate! Schedule a scuba dive, if your certified, or a cage dive right now! I 200% recommend this...

I’ve been here a couple times with my son, once with his class when he was in kindergarten and a couple times with friends. It’s an excellent zoo, with lots of animals and a beautiful aquarium. I’d say the aquarium is my favorite part. It’s always cool inside on a hot day, or cover for rain. The fish, sharks and jelly fish and seals etc are just fun to watch and learn about. I feel for the elephant and the tiger, they just seem so lonely. That would be my only complaint. Those animals like to be in packs so, I wish we would leave them be and stop keeping them in zoos, instead maybe have a live video feed from somewhere? That would be cool. Otherwise it’s a great place to have membership, and walk in evenings or mornings and just be with nature… if...

No animals besides the wolves, penguins and fish at the aquarium. Polar bears weren’t there as they aren’t coming until summer time. Me and every family we encountered today were not very pleased as we weren’t told at the gate about the many animals that aren’t there or notified about parts of the zoo that are closed. Paid full price to basically look at grass in empty cages and over pay for food and drinks at the zoo(highly recommend bringing your own food...
