North End on Pearl — Restaurant in Ruston

North End on Pearl is super cool because it has 5 or 6 areas of the public area so your group can feel intimate without disturbing other area.

The FOOD is ALWAYS yummy. You can just taste the care that the chefs put into each plate that they prepare. I adore their spaghetti nights! Although their grilled cheese is in the running for me because I do not eat a lot of meat. But can say that their fish wrap is wonderful!

Where they really shine is their music area. I come to dance 💃 on Thursday's jam 🎸 night! The venue is a few steps below the main floor in its own little spot. And it seems the acoustics are built for music! Lynn Sorensen and Manny Marais do an incredible job at managing all the local upcoming musical talent, no one ever leaves feeling sad!

I have built some absolute amazing friendships at the Pearl. I adore my musical 🎼 artist folk! This place is full of people that truly love music and are full of encouragement for any new comer!

The wait staff all know me by name and remember my FAVORITE food and beverage choices!

Awesome new bar in the neighborhood right off pearl with AMPLE parking (always a blessing for neighborhood bars). We came in for drinks Friday night and breakfast Sunday and both times the owner (Jessica) was there working and took great care of us. Huge assortment of liquor options for cocktails and a great value. The breakfast was fantastic and a great value for the amount of food we got! We got the eggs Benedict and the steak and eggs - steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare as ordered which is no easy feat! They’re working towards being a completely scratch kitchen which will elevate the food even more although it’s already fantastic. It’s a huge space with a full stage and events everyday of the week. They have live bands coming in constantly and a DJ on the weekends. TVs all around for football season, pool tables, and some pinball and other games. There’s even a dog-friendly outdoor patio; very cool! Would be a great spot for a large gathering to watch the game or to just come in and catch some live music with friends. Will...

I've been here 5 times. Once for lunch, twice for karaoke and twice on DJ nights.

The food was fine. The service was excellent. The karaoke hostess was fantastic and the sound system was awesome. The dance floor is superb, the lighting, parking lot size, decor, neighborhood, layout, restroom...all of it, fantastic.....

..except the DJ.

The music played absolutely sucks. No one is dancing nor swaying to it because it's not what any of us want to hear. At all. Please, completely change the genre of tunes. Also, don't try to splice and mix the songs. We don't want it.

I recommend blues and rock. Throw in a pop song here and there and maybe a couple country and a couple 80's hip hop, just to round things out. Just a suggestion. You could even poll the clientele and ask them what kinds of music they'd prefer.

Since Covid, we don't have hardly anywhere to dance. You can fill this void with this...
