Takoma Urban Park — Attraction in Takoma Park

I love Takoma Park, and it is still a wonderful unique place with many interesting and enjoyable features--and a nice atmosphere. Millennials who want to hang in a hip little spot will love it here. However, I have known TP for a long time, and I miss the funky real world atmosphere and friendly people who were here when working and lower middle class people could afford to live here. It is already over developed in my opinion (inevitable I guess since the Metro opened) and it seems that is the direction it is going. The city of Takoma Park is one of my favourite place in the Washingtom DC area. The neighbourhood with small family owned shops, restaurants and cakes are is not polluted by the ugly franchise, chain stores. It still has family friendly, community oriented feel to it.
