Painting with a Twist — Attraction in Tampa

As a former artist for a different painting with a twist, I feel like I can give decent review. The painting that was chosen is one with a lot of colors crossed on top of each other. Ana gave Instructions for the very start of it with the first two colors and basically forgot to mention when to add the other two colors and just said just make lines,… ok now paint lines down. She told us to water down the paints but it was too delimited and would require more paint than what she instructed. Everyone was confused and frustrated with it. The artist lacked the life and excitement that I experienced at my prior job. I understand every painting will be different, but there should’ve been at least a bit more effort on the guidance to make them a little more similar. They told us to just block in the black dress but they outlined the bottom of the dress in random squiggles making confusing as to where the main part of the dress flows out. This is a fun creative way to get out and do something different. The painting we did was detailed and seemed like we needed more than the 2 hours allotted. The instructor was nice and stayed with us an extra hour to get it finished, but it was a bit rushed even still. The only reason this didn't get a full 5 stars for me is because of the price. I've done these before for the same price but a glass of wine was included. Painting with a Twist is completely BYOB. This may have to do with the hassle of obtaining a liquor license, I'm not sure.
