Payless Furniture — Attraction in Tampa

I came in here because my father has been shopping here for his furniture for years. I was greeted kindly and bought several pieces. A dining set a bedroom set a sectional and a bunk bed with mattresses. The dining set is beautiful the paint isn’t perfect but it was a great deal so no biggie. The sectional is a bit cheap feeling but you get what you pay for I guess. The bunkbed is great the mattresses don’t quite fit so aesthetically it looks a bit off but with the right bedding you can hide it. My issues came in with the bedroom set. I was interested in a queen set and was going to come back for it along with a few dresser chests for my kids. I decided to get the bedroom set same day but was sold a different one than the one I was expecting. Of course they don’t offer return or exchange but said I could bring the frame and headboard in as credit toward the other set. Not only that but that it’s also more expensive. He offered me a “deal” on it 100 bucks off but after talking to my dad I have decided to take my business elsewhere. The set they sold me is chipped all along the edges of the entire set. I will go ahead and give to my kids as the sales person so kindly suggested. The frame and head board will be sold and I will purchase my new set from elsewhere. The experience quickly went from great and easy to such a stressful headache. If you purchase here make sure you double triple quadruple check the order and products and prices. People were nice and not rude or anything just not...

I previously shopped here and they really helped us out , I went with my fiancé and overall it was a good experience. With that being said , I went in person to get some prices, to upgrade our mattresses . I went to get a quote on a few mattresses . My first red flag was when I asked for the price , it was more expensive than the larger mattress. I left immediately because I didn’t want to go back and forth or haggle , especially if the price is displayed outside . The guy didn’t even have the decency to at least swindled me at a more believable price. I went back again and this time it was someone new and they gave me a 30$ price difference from the initial quote I got. Needless to say, if you’re a woman asking for a quote don’t get bamboozled by these people. Be savy, shop smart , and unfortunately it’s 2023 but if you can bring a man to shop with you , maybe they will just give you a more reasonable price the first time you ask .
