I have an austic daughter who lost her stylist due to the business closing. I asked my stylist to cut my daugther's hair and I even went as far as speaking to the owner directly via email and phone regarding a haircut for my daughter and how it will be. I didn't want to disturb the other clients, it honestly was a last resort request, I wouldn't be upset if they said no. (she would be highly upset and possible need someone to hold her) The owner told me it would be "an honor" and how excited he was to have us in the salon. I will tell you I have been an emotional wreck leading up to this day because haircuts are just hard and sometimes impossible. Unfortunately, my stylist had an emergency and wasn't available to cut my daughter's hair so another girl was more than willing and took over the appointment. Of course, it wasn't going smoothly because nothing was calming her down & we had to take turns trying to hold her so a few dead ends could be trimmed. There was literally one other client then us, outside of the employees at the salon; about ten minutes into the appointment the owner walks over and instead of pulling me to the side, says for EVERYONE to hear that this is "heartbreaking" and "as bad as she may need a haircut, it just can't happen here" and basically we need to leave I was almost in tears trying to gather our items and ask how much I owed the girl for at least trying. Once we got outside, the stylist came out a few minutes later apologizing and hugging me because I was a wreck.. She even went as far to offer to cut my daughter's hair outside because what happened was completely unprofessional and she felt responsible. We told her that obviously she shouldn't be the one outside apologizing, if I was a person off the street asking for someone to cut my daughter's hair, I wouldn't have been so embarrassed to leave.. But I went ABOVE and beyond to ensure that people understood the situation and what was about to occur. To be told that you're honored to have us then treat me like my daughter is a disease that you can't have in your salon is the most disrespectful thing I have ever experienced in my life. I can't even fathom words for how heartbroken, embarrassed and just disgusted over how we were treated. Thankful for the support I did have though and for the stylist for at least offering her services and possibly risking her job. They lost a very loyal client who has spent several hundreds of dollars at their salon but never again. I also understand that this salon is more upper class but I even asked if children's haircuts could be done there and again was told YES. I never would've put my daughter or myself in this situation had I known...
Read moreHad a very bizarre experience at this salon, which had been recommended to me very highly. I was scheduled for a color and cut at 5:30, which I thought a bit odd, as this is something that usually takes several hours, but I just assumed since they are professionals they would be able to do it quickly. My boyfriend went with me, as they said they could give him a trim while my color was processing. Let me just say, I have never been in so much pain from having my hair done. The color was excruciating, even the wash was painful. The whole thing felt very rushed, and I was informed that there would not be time to blow out and style my hair, which I wouldn't have wanted anyway because the cut was so painful. I have had this same hair my entire life and have never had a painful color and cut, it felt like my hair was being ripped out. I had a headache for hours after I left. It was so bad she was unable to finish my haircut. Then when we went to cash out, I was astonished that it was $380. For an unfinished haircut and no styling, basically I paid over $400 after tip for a color, no foil or bleach, just color. Once we got in the car my boyfriend said he felt weird about his haircut as well, like she was rushing and it was uneven. I understand it was late in the day and people have things to do, but if you are charging these kind of prices, I expect more professionalism, and not to have my hair ripped out of my head because they are in a rush. I have had my hair done there before, so it shouldn't have been a terrible surprise that I have long, thick hair. I gave two stars because the color is lovely, otherwise the whole situation was really pretty traumatic. Now we're going to a wedding this weekend and we both feel weird about our haircuts and mine wasn't styled. Their prices are really insane, even if everything had gone perfectly. Edited to add: I just want to save other people from pain. You can look at my profile, I almost never leave anything negative. As you can see below the salon is blaming me for being too "tender-headed," however, I've never had a service remotely this painful, and even the assistant who came to help was...

I’ve been here before and had a great experience. The first hair cut they gave me was a lob. My stylist did a great job and did exactly as I wanted so I booked her again a few months later (my hair grew out a lot) and this time I wanted layers and some bangs. The bangs turned out as I wanted them, but the layers on the back of my head (after I went home and showered the next day) were not even at all. My hair can be a bit coarse and it is very thick so badly cut layers show very visibly on me. When I saw this I asked to make another appointment as soon as possible to fix the bad layers. They were very accommodating and scheduled me, but on the day of my appointment I could see that my hair stylist was a bit offended. I tried to approach both the salon and the stylist as kindly as I was capable. The stylist didn’t wash my hair which I agreed not to do because it would take too much time and my hair was already straightened out so you can already see the bad layers. The stylist went in, did some more cuts and thinned out my hair some more. It looked like it was good, so I said “thank you” and left. Cut to 2 weeks ago, I straightened my hair again (I’ve been curling it a lot since the last haircut) and to my dismay and disappointment, there was a visibly blunt layer showing in the middle of my hair. I’m not sure why I didn’t see it when I was in the chair last time. It looked just fine then which baffles me! I’m so embarrassed now because I’ve been walking around at work and in public with this visible layer showing. I’ve already scheduled an appointment to get this fixed. Hopefully this time EVERYTHING...
