Now, this would have been a 5star across, except for I was very disappointed in a staff member. Was there for a cruise on February 12th, the location is super convenient to the cruise port and airport. Shuttle service is free to and from airport with a reservation, and between certain hours. And $10 per person for the cruise port. Still a great deal, near local, food, shops, and grocery stores, within walking distance. The problem I had was, my daughter's 10th birthday cruise was the next day, we didn't unpack, but she did change into her birthday dress, crown and shoes. The shoes she wore to the hotel, were mistakenly left In the room( by our own fault) we didn't realize it til after 2 days on the cruise. I couldn't contact them till we got back to Tampa. I called as soon as we docked, like 8a.m. the young lady that answered the phone, didn't state her name, I explained to her who I was, when I was there, and if some Sneakers were left behind in our room. She told me to hold, then came back in like 30 seconds and said NO! It wasn't in the lost and found, nothing. Because I had time to pick them up, before our flight back to MD. So now my daughter has on sandals and we were going back to snow. I assumed that someone probably took them especially after no one claimed them for 5 days. Got to the airport, it was on my mind to just call back, because they just had to be there. I call back, and Ms. Brenda answers, I explained it to her, that I called few hours ago, and was told it wasn't there. Ms. Brenda had me to hold, came back to the phone and said YES! But now it's too late, were already at airport, to check in. In order to get the shoes back, I had to pay to send a prepaid package to them to ship them back. $30 total for something that could have been handled and my child would have had some shoes to cover her feet, going from hot Tampa to winter storm Maryland. Other than that, the room was decent, but the fact that the other young lady, didn't even ask or attempt to look, was VERY...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur room was not very clean. There was hair left in the tub and lashes on the nightstand. This hotel is not toddler friendly or child friendly, more to come on that note.
We booked this hotel because we needed transportation from the airport and transportation to our cruise. It was a big family gathering, so we booked two rooms. My son called ahead and verified that there was airport shuttle service. There was, so we booked in June.
His family arrived first, and he called the hotel for pick up and got: "Who told you that? We don't have shuttle service." When he got to the hotel later, via Uber, he found a sign that said it had been discontinued the month before, in August. Why didn't they contact us? Because we would have cancelled.
š¶š¼Trying to get a portable crib was another nightmare. First, they said they had one and would have housekeeping bring it by after they returned from lunch. That never happened. When he checked again, they were gone for the day, so we were on our own. When I asked the next day after housekeeping had returned, it was buried and maintenance needed to uncover it. Then they claimed the owners had thrown out all the cribs. Why didn't they just order one from Walmart and have it delivered? And the woman at the front desk told whoever she called about the crib, "These people have been at it since yesterday." Rude. š®
The parking lot reeked of pot smoking š¤, which was also not family friendly. The only redemption for the place was the breakfast and the breakfast attendant who managed to be super nice (at first.)
This sort of service makes it hard to be consistently polite and professional, but I think we pulled it off. We were so disappointed though.š°
We did get transportation to the cruise, but they charge per head, so including the 10 month old...

The bathroom, if you choose to not get the ADA sized option, is pretty small and did not properly close - but this isn't the fault of management, this is the fault of whomever originally built the doorways. On that subject, the parking lot is pretty cramped and getting into the actual hotel is difficult on the busy road - again, though, not the fault of management, rather the fault of the original designers.
The Positives:
The hotel was in a good location, very clean and pretty quiet. I did not expect for the room to have a safe, which I was grateful for the ability to use. Air conditioning was cold; the pool and other amenities were great. What really stood out to me was the workers. All staff were fantastic, especially when checking in and during breakfast. The service that concierge and the charter bus gave was truly next level. Can't forget how diligent room cleaning was. Everyone here truly cared about you and your stay, no matter how busy the day was getting. This was definitely a hotel experience I will not forget on this fact alone.
Closing Remarks to the Hotel:
Please give all the workers here the praise and thanks they deserve. Hospitality is already a difficult field as is, with an incredibly high turnover rate for not much reward. This hotel has great people working the front desk and behind closed doors to make this place run smoothly. They genuinely deserve a raise for providing outstanding service and making this place stand out in the big, bustling...
