Recently, after purchasing several items at this store, I arrived home to find that some items were missing. After checking my receipt, I saw that I had paid for them. The next day, I went back to the store but realized I had left the receipt at home. I went in to see if my items had been left behind the counter, hoping that I could just tell the workers what the items were and they would let me take them without a receipt. I spoke with the same lady who had rung me up on the previous day. I explained the situation but instead of just telling me the store protocol for handling situations like mines, she told me that she remembered me and that there was no way she didn't put the items in my bag. I insisted that I did not have the items but I never said that she hadn't placed them in the bag. She then became agitated and told me she would have to look at the cameras. When I said,ok, she became even more agitated and said that she couldn't do it without the receipt. I told her that I would go home and get it. She rudely told me that it was not that serious and that I could just go get new items to replace the ones I was missing. Since she had such an attitude, I again told her that I would go home and get the receipt. She repeated that the situation was not that serious. I went to get replacements and upon returning to the counter another worker who over heard the situation, told me that there was a bag left behind on the previous day. I told her what was in the bag and she confirmed that the bag was mine. The other lady never apologized for her nastiness. When a customer has an issue/complaint, a worker's job is to tell the customer how the company handles such situations and take it from there. All the extra comments and nastiness that I received from this worker was not needed or appreciated. Especially since I never accused her of not putting my items in the bag. She...
Read moreI needed to buy a plunger because my sink unexpectantly clogged and was told I could buy one at Dollar General. I arrived at the store at 9:40pm (20 mins before closing) only to see that the door was closed. I immediately checked Google to see if I had been mistaken and Google affirmed that the store would not close until 10 pm. A worker was sweeping right in front of the door (most likely pretending not to see me) and I tapped on the glass to ask her if the Google hours were listed incorrectly. She told me the store was closed (it was not) and when I attempted to at least ask about the hours or to see if I could at least get a plunger, she rudely waved me off, whilst repeating herself. I'm not surprised there are litany of 1 star reviews for this location and seeing as how it's inconvenient to get to, I would not be surprised if the store saw a severe decrease...
Read moreWow… how can the workers be so rude and entitled? It didn’t even happen to me… I witnessed a Muslim women buy 11 bags of bread. She was so sweet and asked the cashier (I wish I got her name but I was so upset I walked out without buying anything) if she could make sure it was 11 bags because the women rang up one bag twice while talking to another cashier. OH MY GOD you’d think this women was asked to give up her first born child! She refused and made the Muslim women take all the bread out and count it. Guess what? The Muslim women was right and it was 11 bags not 12 like the rude cashier was saying. You know what the cashier said? Absolutely nothing. Not even a freaking apology. I was disgusted. Is this cashier always like this? Or does she just hate Muslim people? What a terrible women and I will never...
