I've gave this place multiple chances to earn my business. At this point, I'd rather drive an hour away to get my phone fixed than go here. The first time I brought an iPhone 6 to have the screen replaced, I got it back and the fingerprint home button didn't work when I got it back. They told me that they ran out of the replacement part they needed and they would call me when it came in and then they would put a new screen on it to fix it. My biggest mistake was paying them in good faith that they would actually do what they promised. I brought it back a couple weeks later (after never getting a call back from them) because my screen had already broken again. Then they told me that they couldn't do anything because I broke the screen....awesome. I ended up upgrading my phone because it was time anyway and kept the broken screen as a backup. I went back there again last week to fix the screen on my old phone for one of my kids and told them about the home button. The guy at the counter told me that they fired the guy that told me to bring it back because he wasn't following company policy by verifying that all parts of the phone work upon taking possession of them. Then told me that he saw the $110+ that I paid but there was no ticket or notes. He said they would try to fix the home button. When I picked it up he said that he couldn't fix the home button - it was broken and since there's no notes in their computer there's nothing they could do. So annoying - I paid the $100+ for a new screen and left. When I got home, I noticed the screen wasn't level and one side was sticking up higher than the other. Here we go again...I took it back the next day and told them, the guy at the counter told me that I probably bent the phone. When I told him that it hadn't even left my purse since I picked it up the day before he agreed to take it and try to fix it. They called the next day to say it was finished so I picked it up again and no...the phone wasn't bent - the screen wasn't secured straight, this time I didn't have to pay anything. Now I have the phone and none of the 3D screen options work...which must mean that these are knock off screens. If they aren't using genuine Apple parts, this should be disclosed and you certainly shouldn't be paying full price as if they are genuine replacement parts!
DO NOT waste your time and money here! Not only does this company not stand by their word, but you get knock off parts which will not enable you to use all the features...
Read more22 Aug 2016 NEW POST: Frustrated, tried this place again 11 days ago to fix a tablet that froze. Talked to a new worker and he said they would keep me inform and now it's been a week with no communication. I thought after 4 months ago when I had this same problem it wouldn't happen again but I did. I wanted to give them a try thinking it would be better but it was a failure again, so disappointed. The inside looks nice now but communication still negative. I guess I did not learn my lesson and guess the next time something breaks I'll have to find somewhere else or drive to Killen. Why leave a phone number if not going good to use it?!!!!
Update: I went to get a update around the 30 or 31st of March after about 10 days since it's been in the shop. One of the service tech explain to me about what the problem could be and assured me that it could done Monday the 4th of April and he wrote my cell number to give me a call to keep me inform. Today is the 14th and nothing. I am frustrated because no communication and I the customer should not be in this situation. I don't think other businesses do this to their customers. I'll keep everyone posted to let you know what the end results going to be and see after all this what the final price of all wait will cost (Old post)Well I drop my tablet off last Thursday and still have not heard from them, they took my contact information thinking they will call to least tell me what's going on but guess not. I guess I'll wait one more day to hear if it can be restored and what the...
Read moreI used to work at the Temple Best Buy as a member of their Geek Squad. One day during work, I dropped my phone and cracked it on the floor of the store.
I knew that if I were to follow the standard procedure of repairing my phone through best buy's protection plan, it would take at LEAST two weeks for me to get a working phone back.
During my lunch break, I swung by the Mobile Phone Geek's office across the street and asked what they could do for me.
I was delighted when I was told that not only could they fix my phone within the next few hours, they would also let me choose from a nice assortment of custom colored screens and back glasses. (my original iPhone 4 was black, I chose white front and back, but they let me keep the black home button for a more custom look)
The best part was because I was wearing my Best Buy uniform and decided to come see them during a busy part of their day when a good number of other customers were in the store, I was only charged $65 for my front and back glass, a new case, and all of the labor associated with my repair.
Moral of the story, these guys will treat you right, and do a good job of fixing your phone. Give them a look! You won't be...
