NEW REVIEW I don't usually leave reviews however; this experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth I feel I have to. The service at this place is horrible. Some of the worst I've ever seen (even worse than Popeye's). From the young staff that doesn't know how to greet patrons to the GM that can't do a proper refund it's just pitiful.
I walked in at 9:30 and placed a to-go order. The girl at the counter didn't say hi, nor a welcome and just asked what she can help me with like I was some maintenance guy there to provide a service. She then proceeds to take my order which I must repeat three times AND show her on the menu that it is indeed a dish they serve. I sit down and wait....and wait....AND WAIT!! 30MINUTES!!! I waited 30minutes. During that time a guy came in to pick up and order (who waited about 10min) and another lady who was charged for someone else's meal which no one could figure out how it happened or how to fix it without the help of the GM.
I asked what the status of my food was and after another five minutes of waiting one of the workers comes back and tells me "They are making your food now". ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! No thank you. By this time the GM was there to sort things out and provide me with a refund. I never got the actual refund receipt. Just my original receipt with the GM's name on it in case the refund doesn't go through.
And you want to know what the really funny part is? THE GIRL AT THE COUNTER PUT IN THE WRONG ORDER!! I wish I could make this up but just WOW. Never again. I'll go somewhere else where the service makes sense.
(THIS WAS A FIVE STAR) Went in for a to go order and the gentleman who took my order, Demarcus, was beyond courteous and professional. Only other place I've been remotely close to that level of service is the far east where customer service must be a school subject (if you've ever been then you know what I'm talking about). Read moreWe came here to celebrate my son’s birthday. Every year the kids get the choice of a birthday dinner and he chose brunch instead. So we came in at 1:20 on a Tuesday.
The gentleman who sat us threw down the menus onto the table and walked away. So it was assumed this was our table.
You’d think it wouldn’t be that busy, well you’d be right. While our food did take 20 minutes to get to our table, that isn’t the worst part about our experience.
After ordering two mountain dews and a splashberry, we received 1 mt dew and 2 splash berries. When the server took our order we did not have confidence the food would come out correct since she did not write down our order. She was not very nice and seemed upset we were there. My daughter and son’s meal had options whether they wanted pancakes or hash browns, but they were not asked about what they wanted. They didn’t want to upset the server more for fear of what may happen to their food, so they stayed silent
Thankfully the food tasted good. When my daughter asked if we could switch the wrong drink for the correct one, the servers face had pure attitude written in it. She remembered the wrong drink and switched them out.
I’m not sure if she has the whole restaurant, but she seems busy, is having a bad day, or something else.
In a lull where the music was down, or perhaps the servers behind the wall were just unusually loud, you could hear one saying something to the effect of the chef “was only smiling at me like that because your girlfriend just left”.
So to the worker who left around 2pm, I’m sorry. So come to ihop, for drama, cheating partners, and poor service. But at least the food...
Read moreI came in around 1:00am to place an order to go. There was only two customers from what I could see. The place was not busy at all. My server’s name was Luke and he was very friendly taking my order.
I had ordered a waffle and some eggs. The whole time I stood at the counter watching the cook prepare my food. The first thing that was done were my eggs. Then he started to prepare my waffle. When my waffle was done, the cook spent about 5 minutes picking at it to try to get the waffle to come out the waffle iron. Eventually the waffle fell apart. So basically he had to make me another one. I can understand that mistakes happen which was not a problem. So I watched as he prepared another waffle for me. But the same thing happen to the second waffle. When the second waffle was done, the server spent almost 5 more minutes to try to get the waffle out. At this point I was irritated. I had to call Luke over to explain the situation to him because of the cooks incompetence. And there excuse was that the waffle iron was messed up. That waffle iron has been there all this time and now all of a sudden it’s messed up? If that’s the case why are you selling waffles then? And the time was going on to 15 to 25 minutes since I’ve been there waiting for my food to get done.
So basically I just asked for a refund and left. When I came in I was thinking maybe they’re not going to mess anything up and I’ll get my food very quick because there was really no one in the restaurant but I was wrong. I was trying so hard not to thing negatively but it almost never fells that what I think is going to happen...
