Smoothie King — Restaurant in Temple

I drive over an hour to work daily and pass many options as well as other smoothie kings on the way, but this is my #1 stop as a regular to my routine. The staff here is superior, kind and swift. It's a pleasant experience every time and my drinks are always done just right. I don't even bother with the other Smoothie King locations, this one beats the competition.

I'm far from small and I've been on a strict diet to change that around. This is my breakfast and lunch replacement for my full work day, being able to have a consistent, reliable choice where I can add extra vitamins and protein to boost it is a huge buff. For people looking for healthier alternatives but struggling with that switch, I recommend the power-slim shakes, try adding to them too, fruit, cinnamon, yogurt, peanut butter. It adds a few calories but it may make the experience a game changer while you figure out your diet. I also use the smoothie king app to track the calories of my order and to preorder every time so I can stop and go. I'm not really sure how to explain our experience. We ordered two very simple smoothies and they only gave us one smoothie originally. The first smoothie was not the right ingredients, we asked to sub out milk for apple juice, due to lactose intolerance, but there was definitely milk in it. Not a good look if there was a more serious allergy. Either way, the attendant seemed very confused by our simple requests and seemed fed up even though we were very patient and explained our simple order several times. Both smoothies were the wrong size. Not a big deal and we didn't mention it. I did ask if there was apple juice instead of milk. I was told yes, which was untrue. After asking for my second smoothie I was given it with an attitude and told to just take it after I asked if it was the one I ordered. Weird experience considering we weren't argumentative at all. I understand food service is a stressful job, and I even worked at a smoothie shop as a teen myself, but this location wasn'teven busy and we just ordered two simple smoothies. I ordered a smoothie to be delivered. 1 hour later and no smoothie. I decide to call the store. I called the store over 5 times and no one answered. The call went to a voicemail where I could not leave a message. Due to delivery fees and tip, 1 smoothie costs me $20 yet I never received it. I love Smoothie King and have bought from there many many times but I will NEVER order delivery again. (I work from home and needed a good pick me up and couldn't leave. This is why I ordered delivery.) I hope someone sees this so maybe they can message me and I can get a refund!
