Horrible experience at this pier, the park is beautiful no doubt but as far as fishing on the pier its horrible because instead of catching fishing you get stuck, no wonder they are losing business. It's very frustrating having good leads go to waste because you keep getting stuck in the water. And the worst part is these idoits built the new pier next to the old one that fell apart so that's the main reason of always getting stuck. Dont waste your money coming here I'd recommend the galveston piers 100 times better. And also to walk on the pier I'm getting harrassed by a 10 year old girl that says I cant take my drop net on the pier to fish smh, very horrible experiences was there only 30 minutes after paying the fee to get in only to get harrassed by a 10 year old and get my...
Read moreCalled the bait shop in the beach park to obtain pier hours for Saturday yesterday to confirm the pier hours posted at the pier, which is 6 am to 9 pm. The lady who answered the call said 8 pm. Around 7:15 pm, the lights were partially turned-off on the pier. Called the bait shop what's going on. The man who answered the call said that the pier closes at 7 pm and if we don't leave immediately, he would lock the pier gate with us still on the pier. Asked him to turn on the lights a few minutes because we could not see anything where we were to collect our gears. He flatly refused even though the pier sign at the gate says it closes at 9 pm. BTW, the man who threatened us wore a prosthetic. Never going back to...

They have several restrooms and fresh water outside showers wich is really cool. But I honestly don't think I would go swimming or fishing here because it's surrounded by ports on each side and basically lots of marine traffic can only mean lots of...
