I want to start off by saying that the clerks and the soda fountains are the only reasons I go to this poor excuse for a business. I wish I could rate the little things instead of giving a general rating because it really does do the clerks a disservice. They are always nice, respectful and fun to talk to if you're nice to them. One even gave me advice on cars when I asked him about his own. The owner and his wife, however, tend to be rude and watch over you like you're always up to something. I know they're just being protective of their business, but come on, guys. It's overbearing and a little offensive to me personally. The owner once even accused me of stealing a bottle of water that I WALKED IN WITH. They aren't talkative and give off this vibe that seems... Off. Like they think less of you. The selection is sub par, the slushy machines haven't been fixed and have had the same red and green liquid swirling around in them non-stop for a couple of months before they put an "Out of Order" sign up. And the bathroom has never been in the best of shape. Ever. It's not even open to the public, which, from what a clerk told me once a couple of years ago, is illegal and can get the owners sued. I think my lawyer even confirmed this. What's worse is that I live two houses down from them and guess what? House is worth six figures, kid has a new car and the owner has a nice black Mercedes-Benz in the driveway. Oh, and his neighbor two houses down has a GT-R and a Z series. That kind of neghborhood. If you have that kind of money, why don't you put it into your business so you, your family and your employees look more presentable and make people want to come into your store more often? I'm sorry if I come off as a Libtard (Independent Trump supporter) for mentioning the owner's, er, poor allocation of his money (cough cough Wasteful spending. cough cough), but this is just common sense, guys. I'm pretty sure that broken slushy machine can get you a fine for leaving it running non-stop and not cleaning it at all over the past couple of months. If the owners cleaned the store up, fixed the veneer on the counters, fixed the slushy machines, took down the summer hours sign in the window and put up a sign that tells people the business hours for the rest of the year and acted a little more welcoming, then I'd gladly say this store is my favorite and defend that statement. But dreams are fun to entertain,...
